New Level 50

I'm about to hit level 50 on a mage. I have a new level 50 warrior that I don't play these days. I just hit 50 and started the caster. How long will it take (playing ~2-3 hours a day) to get geared up to top level gear for pvp and pve? I have been away from the game for a while and I know a lot of stuff has been added.
The last time I played, I did port over to the Ember Isles on the warr and got owned by some random mobs, so I realized I needed to be geared for that (lol). Is there a good updated guide for new level 50s on a fan site or the official site anyone can recommend? I looked around there but didn't see anything in the forums. I will go back and look more closely. Just if anyone knows about other places I could look.
There seems to be a lot of stuff I can do and I kind of felt overwhelmed since I've been away for a while. I want to have fun and develop my toon efficiently at the same time.

Duffy's level 50 guide is a bit old. but still useful for learning the 50 content. It is pre Ember Isle so add in EI daily quests and the RoS chronicle to his listand be aware that all dungeons now are T2 with three mastermode versions. You can also buy T1 raid quality gear using inscribed.
