blizz lays off 600?

I have not actually played since like a month into cataclysm (I loved lich king style dungeons, hated the gimmicky fights in cataclysm) but saddened to see this news hit as its still a good game that I have hopes for going back to it in pandaland if its more lich king style dungeon running/raiding.
