Dont look at chat at all, just act like you're playing bot matches even when you're playing with other players.

IF you happen to look at chat, you'll witness things that make barrens chat look uber intelligent and elitist kids who suck the fun out of the game for everyone else by spending whole session spamming the chat with how you're not worthy to play with them...eventually you'll get overwhelming urge to tear those guys a new one and when you do, they'll report you and you'll get banned.

    There are easier ways to enjoy the game (and not being reported as Refusing to communicate with team in the process!)

     

    -Queue with friends.

    -Develop a thick skin.  Seriously, if you ever plan to play DotA / League / HoN, you need a thick skin.  Let's start right now.

    Welcome to DotA.  You suck.  You're a pubdumpster in 800 ELO / 1200 MMR / off the charts in how bad you are in DotA.  For six months after picking up one of these games for the first time, you are going to be reminded of this very fact by your teammates because every mistake you make has a high chance of costing your team the game. Chances are, every loss you have suffered in the game is partially your fault, even if you had trolls or feeders.  If you accept the fact that you are an absolutely terrible scrub, then you will learn faster than if you think that stomping noobs in -em makes you pro.

     

    -Following the thick skin point, don't let people make you mad or stoop to their level.  If someone is able to control your emotions freely through the internet, then you have some real life issues that you should be getting taken care of instead of playing video games.

    Just take a chill pill and have fun. It is not that hard to ignore those asshats.
