If all it is doing is saying "New CPU" - I wouldn't sweat it. If it won't save BIOS settings and adjustments, I'd consider replacing it, but you could probably live with it, as default is usually good enough to get by with.
If you start to see other weird things, like random BSOD's, computer randomly rebooting or shutting down, or Windows failing to start with cryptic error messages: then you need to do something about it.
