To each his own I guess, but fun isn't exactly the way I'd describe spore
Eh Space stage is pretty fun for a bit itll hold be over till Amaular comes out next week.

No Im just trying to start a discussion for a bit while I sip on my coffee.
Yeah, I remember being so hyped up for this back in like 2005. I remember they were doing tech demos with Will Wright and such. Showing how every stage is going to be this amazing in-depth game where everything you design will have a huge impact later on down the road.
What we got -- though I haven't played it since it was released -- was a casual set of mini-games. You'd spend about 15 minutes on each stage and then hit Space stage where you would do the same thing over and over and over and over. I don't think anything I did with my race/whatever had any effect on the game.
Wasn't there supposed to be a water stage, too? I remember they were saying you could build underwater civilizations and such.

Get the platinum spore mod...improves Spore SO much. There is also better spore, but that mod isn't nearly as good as platinum.
Platinum adds tons of stuff, especially to space stage. Think it even makes the planets 10 times as big.
I occasionally start up spore, but wish EA didn't kill it.
spore is the coolest i stil love it!
