If you check the blog on Goblinworks its actually really detailed there. Lots of good info.
Actually that is incorrect. You keep your quipped items and the looter gets a random selection of the other items with anything not randomly given to the looter, destroyed.
'Sandbox MMO' is a PTSD trigger word for anyone who has the experience to know that anonymous players invariably use a 'sandbox' in the same manner a housecat does.
When your head is stuck in the sand, your ass becomes the only recognizable part of you.

After re-reading Ryan Danceys post on http://paizo.com/people/RyanDancey/posts sounds like he's sure you will keep equiped gear but is not set in stone as to how to distribute husk drops.
