No details or information yet but by speculation;

Like Darkfall you place a challenge shard within a certain area of the city but unlike Darkfall you don't magically superman over the walls, you use cannons and siege towers to lay siege to the city you want to conquer. Looks pretty epic to me!

    What do you mean no information? There is a big post in the official site (kr) explaining how it works. I'm too lazy to offer a full translation but if there's something specific you wanna know, I shall provide answers.

    Ahh my bad!!

    Okies, if you have a spare moment;

    1.) What are the costs involved in laying a siege?

    2.) What siege weapons are involved and do they play a huge role in sieges (Unlike DFO)

    3.) What happens if the defenders win, is there a prize/loot for them?

    Thanks!! =D

    Also I can't find it on the korean website.. maybe something to do with me not understanding what a single word means =S

    Uuuh, not sure what you mean. Do you mean the price the attacker has to pay or? Could you be more specific please?

    Follow this link: http://www.archeage.com/contents/gameinfos/system/43

    At the bottom you'll see 2 siege weapons. They also mention a batering ram. Add to that the artillery cannon that's been in game for a few weeks.

    They are usefull for sieges, since you have to either cross or destroy the walls protecting the town, and if it works like houses, players skills can't damage them. Strategical use of cannons can help you destroy a whole "infantery" group too. Brainless zerg just doesn't work in ArcheAge, you gotta use your "cavalry" and "artillery", just like a RTS game, except the units are all players.

    3.) What happens if the defenders win, is there a prize/loot for them?

    I don't see it being explicitly mentioned, but I would say keeping their territory (which might have cost lots of money in ressources to build) is a good enough reward for defending.
