    Servers are back it seems...

Glad I dropped by here. I have no problem with fixes and downtime; I have problems with no information on the service.

I logged in this morning (UK time) and all servers are offline. Nothing on the forums, nothing in the launcher, a message yesterday on FB/Twitter to say a patch may be deployed AM or PM (US time) but nowhere have I seen any official confirmation of what is happening at what time. You would have at least thought some form of post could have been made when the servers were actually taken down, but even that seems too much to ask.

So, no idea when the servers went down, no idea when they will come back up. It really should be so simple to keep customers informed and BW often seems to be dropping the ball on this since launch. They always appear to be on the backfoot with 'noise responsive Dev Posts' at some later date saying why something was done, when it would be so much more paletable to have definitive announcements prior to action or at least a status announcement when the 'action' is actually happening...........growing pains I guess image

The game is very good.  I believe that when you have this much downtime though you can end up losing people.  I had these past few days off with the intention to game and I haven't been able to play more than a couple hours.

Unless its major, I think they should keep patches to once a week.  In addition, I know that the Flashpoint missions were having issues and they did not announce that there was ever an issue but they fixed it on the DL, then people were confused by the patchnotes because they list very minor items, while the actual issies they fixed were major.

You need to be putting this where it matters (and that's not here :D)

While the launcher DOES state they're hoping to put the new patch in this morning, I agree that more info would be better!

Oh, and servers are up :P!

servers are back online according to the web page...  i think its inevitable really for a new MMO to have a certain amount of unscheduled downtime to deal with unforeseen issues, instead of being a 'bad' thing though. imo.. i would be more concerned if they didnt deal with whatever issues have arisen, and just let the game carry on 'unfixed' .. and there are more than a few of those types of games around after all image

Completely agree, however the trend of preventing any posts to the official forum whenever the servers are down is a bit of a worrying developing habit of BW.

Good to know that information can be found on MMORPG....even that the game came back up while I was composing image

    Not good.

I have yet to see the game be down for a WHOLE day, not even close.

Its funny how people complain they need to fix this and that blah blah blah. Then they get an important bug figured out and want to correct it right away and people complain they are fixing bugs.

Damned if you do damned if don't.

Personanlly I like to see a company rushing to fix things rather than just blowing them problem off until next schedualed patch day.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.  This thread is running right alongside another thread bitching that they'll take forever in fixing recent exploits.
