Give me a game suggestion

Hi there

I have netbook Hp Mini (I know, not the best gaming pc xD) and I want to have any RTS game. I have another PC that is better, but for work and study, I use more the netbook, so I need a game for it :D

It doesnt need to have amazing graphics, huge maps lot of units, etc... just nice development and a game where you must use strategy. For example, AoE (not amazing graphics but still one of the best strategy games ever, or Starcraft)

But here comes the problem, this netbook doesnt have AGP activated. Some games work, like SC or Rise of Nations, even Lineage 2 GoD, but I cant run others like AoE.

So, if you know a game, that can be played without this AGP requirement, would be great!
See you and good luck!

u would suggest the old generation of RTS like command & conquer tiberium sun, firestorm and red alert 1&2, maybe diablo series, warcraft, age of empire, thats about the only think i can think of atm.

another suggestion is to try this website:

Have you played any of Paradox' strategy games? They have some fantastic ones like the Hearts of Iron series, Victoria series and Europa Universe series. These require a lot of development, thought and strategy in these games. There's also Pride of Nations and Sengoku but I haven't played them myself.

I'm also a fan of the Grand Ages series. There's three in the series - Glory of the Roman Empire, Imperium Romanum, and Grand Ages: Rome. These are city building strategy games with development and strategic planning. However, it's not a technical series with fighting and what not.. most of the game is city planning.

Sorry if you can't play these, not sure.

    Currently Playing:

    Nothing.

Anyway thxs, and I will keep looking for games :P

Good suggestions above, but I'd also like to add the Kohan series.

Especially the first Kohan game is amazing, and unique. You can pick it up relativly cheap on steam and impulse.

Command & conquer Generals. Great fun.

I usually play turned based strategy myself on my laptop, I usually have it on travels and such and the turned based games are easier on busses and trains.

    Some favorites are:

CIV IV BTS with caveman2cosmos. The ultimate CIV game with 20 times the usual science and units.

Heroes of might and magic V (III is also great).

Age of wonders I & II (Shadowmagic)

Disciple III (if you hot seat or multiplay it you need to forbid the elvish spell that heals the unit every combat round).

Those 3 games take a long time and the last 2 is perfect for hot seat battles. Panzer general 3D and Masters of Orion 2 are 2 great old turn based games as well.
