If you don't want your kid seeing it then don't buy them the game and keep tabs of what they look at online.

Stop looking to censorship as an answer to laziness.

Agreed completely. Better parenting is a great answer. Asking for companies to censor themselves is a not so great answer. If something is offensive to you, deal with it yourself. Don't deal with it for everyone else too.

Absolute rubbish - both of you. Your arguments are weak and misguided.

Parents rely on standards within society to safeguard their children because they themselves cannot be there 24/7.

My post was in RE: advertising standards that appear to have plumeted on MMORPG recently, and that this website that appeared age appropriate a few months ago is now questionable for younger people.

As a parent of two young children, I think that you're completely off the wall nuts.

I am SO sick of hearing other parents bleeting nonsense about how society needs to censor itself and modify and mutilate itself 'Foooor theeee CHIIILLLDDDRRREEENNNNN'  It's the single most common battle cry for any special interest group trying to get their particular nonsense pushed as far as people will allow it and it's BS.

Let's face it:  This is not about children.  This is about YOU.

YOU are uncomfortable with the images you are seeing.  YOU are deciding to be disingenuous about this by advocating censorship of what makes you uncomfortable because of the chiiiillllldrennnnn.

And you know what?  The image that you linked is in NO way shape or form softcore pornography.  It's boring generic fantasy art.  I've seen more revealing advertisements on freaking Facebook.  I would have no problem whatsoever with either of my children being exposed to those images.  With all of the terrible things out there on the internet, you choose to rally the troops because of bad fantasy art in the name of the children?  Are you really that mentaly unbalanced?

ANY parent that needs to (as you put it) 'rely ont he standards within society to safeguard their children' is a piss poor parent.  I am truly terrified for your children if you're so bad at taking care of them that you need to blame society because you are too incompetant to bring up your own children.  If you don't have the time or the willpower to raise your own children properly, you have no business spawning in the first place.

Fact of the matter is:  The VAST majority of society couldn't give two $hits about your children.  Nor should they.  Leave it to a mentaly disturbed parent afraid of women's exposed bellies to propose that all of society is responsible for bringing up their children.  God forbid you take your children to the beach!  They might be scarred for life!

Sorry for having an opinion. I don't care how others raise their kids. I just know that at the end of the day I can say that I raised my son the best that I could.

So the point you're trying to make is... you don't have a point.... but you're a good father.  Noted.

If you don't care how others raise their kids, why are you expressing your opinion on how others raise their kids?  Don't see it that way?  I do... and I'm pretty sure that's how you came across in your original post.

Pretty sure it's time to put the shovel away... the hole is deep enough.

Yeah.  Afraid of women with exposed bellies but perfectly ok with joining the marines to slaughter people for our corporate overlords.  The American way.  You should be proud.

My issue with the ad is that her head seems way too small compared to the rest of her... I don't mind a girl with breasts as big as her head, but someone with a head that small would creep me out.

You have already made that abundantly clear.

Killing people for large corporate war profiteering = good and proud

Sideboobs and exposed navel = horrific and damaging

And we Americans wonder why the rest of the world thinks we're idiots.
