Just wanted to give a few peeps a heads up on a couple of deals I found over at TigerDirect

OCZ TECHNOLOGY 120GB VERTEX PLUS CA ONLINE BACKUP SSD going for 69.99 with the mail in rebate.

GIGABYTE GV-N550OC-1GI GeForce GTX 550 Ti Video Card - 1GB, GDDR5, PCI-Express 2.0 (x16)
79.99 after the mail in rebate.

I done grabbed me a SSD for my new comp <Which i am still getting items for> And the vid card for my wife's comp so she can play TOR (Slight upgrade from a Niv 9500GT!)

They got some other desent items on sale as well. I wanted to share this cause a good deal on stuff is sometimes hard to come around.

For me at least I can't stand tigerdirect. I love newegg. Tigerdirect usually always is slightly higher prices too. That ssd drive is terrible even for the price point. It has a lot of issues and is the first generation I believe. I would actually skip that ssd at $70 bucks, the rebate headache and the performance of that drive is terrible. Spend a few more and get a top performing ssd in this same price point. Such as the Intel 320 Series SSDSA2CW120G3K5 2.5" 120GB SATA II MLC from newegg. It's 199 but after rebate it puts it in this price point at 119 after rebate. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820167050

Or go with a similar performing ssd by OCZ Agility 3 AGT3-25SAT3-120G 2.5" 120GB SATA III MLC that is 149 on newegg and after rebate 119. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227726

I wouldn't get that older Vertex Plus, way to many problems with it.

Congratulations.  That's the first time I've ever seen a GeForce GTX 550 Ti at a competitive price.  Not an exceptionally good price, but just competitive.  Without looking too far, here's equivalent performance for the same price, and with lower power consumption:

As for the SSD, that's $130 before rebate and $100 after rebate.  You can't apply the rebate twice:

The OCZ Vertex Plus is actually pretty new.  The Indilinx Barefoot controller is older (I bought one more than two years ago), but matching it with 25 nm NAND flash and new firmware is new.  Performance isn't that far behind the faster SATA 2 SSDs, and quite a bit faster than the early Indilinx Barefoot SSDs.  But it's very much a budget option.

I signed up for the Tigersdirect newsletter.  They always have deals like these.  For instance there was the $2k 73" DLP for $1000 on Friday.  Tigersdirect has poor navigation, typically slightly higher prices, and higher shipping times.  But sometimes they dip below Newegg, especially on non-computer components like entire systems.
