As to the beta - no announcement or even hint(s) at dates yet. Feel free to head over to WildStar Central and chat to The Rabid fans also waiting with baited breath though! (or hit up the fansite forum thread here for other WildStar communities!)
No news on beta yet - the build shown at conventions has been an alpha build. Unless they're being as secretive with beta as they were with the project these last few years!
Hard to tell. Wildstar was only announced a couple months ago, but don't forget that development on it started in 2007. If you look at some other big MMOs like WoW and Swtor, 4-5 years development is pretty standard, so we might not be that far away.

When its ready. Last thing i want to see is it turning into a bugfest a launch like AoC.
Its waaaaay to early. Dont expect beta before the end of 2012 or who knows maybe even 2013
