And all reviews and videos are xbox 360 and Tod Howard is liar by saying game is made for todays pc's hardware with newest techniques?

No quadcore no DX11 no 2011 pc, but its build for a 6year old xbox:(

Sure i can play offlinemode but only if i install and updated through steam or no play at all.

They became great company today becouse of pc gamers but money rules so they abandon pc for inferior consoles:(

PC is even more dead then i thought, soon in 2012 still have newly released games for DX9.0c and OS xp build games:(

They've only been showing the XBox version, you you have no idea how the game will run on PC. Bethesda has constantly assured us that the graphics are way better for PC. Plus, I only know ONE person who has a DX11 video card, DX11 just isn't popular enough yet for companies to waste resources on.

I think Skyrim looks awesome, and I'm really looking forward to the bread and butter of the PC version of the game: The player created mods.

Really your whole basis is for godly graphics, the graphics are already nice no matter what. I dont think a good game needs uber awesome graphics.

Yea that is what he meant.  But does it take days or weeks or months to get the game looking AMAZING?

It already DOES.  The Xbox 360 version of the game.  Graphically.  It looks AMAZING.  I'll say that again.  The 360 version looks amazing.  I dont even understand half the comments in this thread.  Talking about how graphics arent everything and so on and so forth.

Why is this even being said when the console version of the game looks graphically amazing.  I think the OP is just ticked off because they demoed it on the 360 and not a PC.  And thats all.  I'll also never understand the war thats waged by PC gamers against consoles.  I have a fairly good gaming PC.  I also have a 360, and a PS3.  And I enjoy all of them.  Way to be close minded there.

It needs to be said... Morrowind Console Port, Oblivion Console port. ...

Look it up, Morrowind was designed for the Xbox, Oblivion the 360... These words came straight from bethesda in one of their early interviews for Skyrim on IGN.

There's a long list of great rpgs that were designed first and foremost for consoles.

Oblivion looked amazing when it came out, but it looked even better when the custom texture packs came out for it that added parallex mapping and bigger textures.

yeah its too bad  I really looked forward but steampest compared with console port is enough for me to cancel it, which is sad.

We need a MMORPG Cataclysm asap, finish the dark age of MMORPGS now!

If you had fun in Oblivion (which was a semi port) then why would you not have fun in Skyrim.  Now, I dont know wether or not you enjoyed Oblivion, but Oblivion was fun no matter what it was.  I dont understand the problem.

Console ports are here to stay 90% of the games today are made for consoles. Thats where the money is. Most games are bought for the Consoles not the PC. Go to your local Best Buy or Game Stop and look at the Dwendling PC section, PC's will NEVER go away. To many uses. but as far as gaming goes, it has now taken the back seat. It's a hard pill to swallow, seeing as how the PC is Greater than any console could ever be. with a Console, Every user is on an even playing field. no longer do you have to check,"Is my system enough to run this new game?" Joe Shmo has a better rig so he has the upper hand. Damn, I have to upgrade my Graphics card to run this one.

All things of the Past with a Console.

I LOVE PC gaming, but I see the writing on the wall. At least us PC Gamers still have MMO's............ For Now,

    But......

Why do people keep saying this?  Are the graphics bad?  Compared to what?  Seriously Id like to know.  You can walk up, stick your freggin nose in a bush and see every single little stalk and leaf individually and in high detail.  You can walk up and make out the extreme detail of moss growing on a log for Christs sake.

If graphics arent everything thats fine, but that doesnt even apply to Skyrim.  Console or not.  Im still just totally confused on what you people are talking about.

This is what I've been wondering.  From the demos they have shown the graphics were amazing.  The level of detail and the draw distance was much better than many games we have seen and that was on the 360.  They told us in the interviews that it looks even better on the PC.

Im glad Im not the only one thats confused.  Thought I was going insane there for a minute.

Here are demos.  Watch them people.  If you say this sucks then you probably think the graphics in your back yard are just as crappy.  These demos go in consecutive order.   All three are pretty much just one long demo split up.

    DEMO 1 :  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xwboyafbwc

    DEMO 2:   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7WohnlLEQo&feature=relmfu

    DEMO 3:   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kt7IeycKJKQ&feature=relmfu

If that sucks to you, then you may as well be blind.  Sheesh.

The comments are incredibly silly. It's like some people insist the game will be the WORST GAME EVER because the graphics are amazing and not SUPER amazing.

They knew they were going to take a hit on graphics but they wanted to pop out 1 more good title before the long hiatus. I don't think we're going to take that much of a hit in terms of gameplay though. As for steam : well...certain people know the answer to that.

You are too pissed off to make a real conclusion of all this, i only agree you in one thing, that you need steam to uograde the game in order to play singleplayer, the rest dude its just nerdrage.

    There is none.

Only article I found was from Todd Howard saying the Skyrim team will be working on Expansion size DLC for skyrim more in the line of shivering Isles type stuff and away from all the small rinky dink Oblivion quest packs and FO3 dlc.

I would expect that same team to start Fallout 4 right after but we have no announcments or proof its all just speculation.

    Playing: Nothing

    Looking forward to: Nothing

Normally I would agree with a few posters and say graphics is only half the story (or less)

But for a game like Skyrim that focus on exploration sandbox, I would probably put graphical processing power to be higher on the ladder, since you will spend majority of the game actually looking at the environment, but it still isn't enough to make or break the game.

As for the latest demo, I was told it is a development video that was only showed behind the doors only. So it won't have the final tech in it yet. (hoping)

Finally, even tho it isn't looking the greatest, it is far from looking anything resembling trash, just hoping it won't a console port, or I might consider getting this on PS3 instead.

I think Bethesda would be losing quite a lot if a game of this caliber and budget would be released only on PC. Sure, my favourite gaming platform is PC and has been for more than 7 years, but let's not be elitist. Btw, I'm more than pleased to know that the superior version will still be on PC and will also have mod support. As for the Steamworks thing, it only benefits me since I can buy it from anywhere I want (probably I can find it cheaper than the Steam version) and still register it on Steam.

Console ports are for most of time symplified version ported to PC with inferior graphics(as i said graphics are good for console but PC should have had alot better graphics then these). And im fed up with consoleports.

I played btw Elder Scroll sinds 98 when i bought Daggerfall, Morrowind(my best untill now) and Oblivion already way to easy and console but still good game becouse of mods.

Cry into your pc some more, pc fanboys are there constant whining about everything.

Maybe if they stopped whining so mu8ch and actually supported good games companies would bother to make games for your demographic.
