Okay so basically the monitor I have now has started getting....
Blue/red/black lines down one side, dead pixels? or just dieing in general.
So I need a new monitor but I dont know what specs I should be looking for, this current one is
1280 x 768 or 1024 x 768
Everything seems so squeezed togeather, it's hard too play games in window mode as it cuts off the bottom of the game.
So yeah need a new monitor possibly under £130
But as I dont know what specs I actually need "Generally just a bigger screen / brighter / maybe HD?"
I did take an interest too
But I'm not sure what the specs actually mean LOL

Given the price range and just what i can see from the website youve linked id buy

good responce time 1080P so your games wont be so squished together. Best of luck on whatever you buy
While I don't consider myself to be a monitor expert, I can say I have never heard of the manufacturer Edge that pirate had linked. On your budget I would be looking more for something like this Asus 24" with 1080P,HDMI, and display port connections. It's also LED so the color will be more crisp than your normal LCD.
Gweedo has a good suggestion. The moniter you linked was horrible. FIrst of all make sure its from a reputable company (Asus, Samsung etc). You should also make sure its LED. Buying an LCD monitor is just like buying a plasma tv rathar than a lcd tv.....why the hell would you do it? Because you're cheap. Don't be cheap, get an led moniter that hits 1920 res (even though ur card may not, most monitors now do). I recently bought a 24 inch led Asus for $160. Look for sales and take your time.
Most monitor manufacturers don't really make monitors, they just make the shell and put a badge on it. LG and Samsung pretty much make most monitors. So brand doesn't factor in too much. The ASUS should be fine. Unfortunately you live in Socialized UK, so you won't be able to find a good bargain on monitors like in most capitalist countries.
Personally I think this is a terrible comparison. LCD TVs do have their downsides as well you know. For my room setup with the Plasma I bought, it would have been an absolutly terrible idea to have bought an LCD tv instead, due to the rooms layout and the LCD's viewing angle issues. I'd hardly say I'm cheap.
Movable wall mount = problem solved
