HuttBall Gameplay Footage
apparently they weren't letting people just play the Alderaan Warzone. Some lucky people got to play Huttball. awesome 15 min vid of a match some people got to play.

Looks like so much fun. definitely glad about my choice of AC after watching this. Commando looked like a blast to play. 
Although the smuggler made a strong case for himself towards the end. He has the ball and is almost to the goal but has so little hp you can't see it in the health bar. 2 sith players are coming towards him. stuns the first with a flashbang(or something similar) and then stuns the second with a dirty kick and scores. It was pure win. 
edit: Greg Zeschuk confirms empire and republic players can be teamed together for huttball in this interview at about 2:20

Will it be possible to have mixed team in HuttBall ?
For HuttBall, no Mixed team available for the moment, no sense storyline wise and also difficult technically.
they really need to give the docs crib notes they can hide in their hand ahead of time. XD

Agreed, cant wait to play this War Zone.
Also, i agree with all the youtube coments, Smuggler gets MVP for that goal
now just need to hear about a spectator mode (and maybe the ability to bet on matches
), the ability to go in as a full premade, and choose who you face so huttball leagues can be formed. 
This was one of my favorite videos as of late. Seems like a lot of good fun to me and most on the official forums love it. Just finished watching it :-).

Although this looks like a great diversion, I'm going to have a hard time justifying this with my RP haha.

Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced.
Hopefully they keep going this way in providing things other then fighting, at least in a way that isn't the typical raiding, group quests, and normal types of PvP.
If they keep going mini-games and things like this i think they will have a winner on their hands.

That sure was some nice moves that Gunslinger did. And when I look as how much life she had, I almost dropped my jaw. Just 1 hit would have stopped her from making that score. So kudos to you Gunslinger.

awesome ... reverse capture the flag where 90% of the participants still ignore the objectives ... scintillating.
LFD tools are great for cramming people into content, but quality > quantity.
I am, usually on the sandbox .. more "hardcore" side of things, but I also do just want to have fun. So lighten up already
It's not capture the flag or "reverse capture the flag".
I would say it's closer to rugby.

Such great footage of actual gameplay. It's nice to see the pvp combat and how each of the classes play against one another. They all look pretty balanced to me; I think it'll come down to how you play your class. I loved the fire pit instant deaths.

The golden moment is near the end where a Jedi Sage sweeps the opponents from the passage with a Force push, and in the confusion that follows the ball gets passed to a Smuggler.
