For some reason, any topic I click on jumps me to the last page/post, even if I've never been to it. I can understand the convenience of correct jumping, but if it can't be done correctly, it should likely be either removed or put as an option in user preferences.

Doesn't it only do that from the real-time forums, i.e. recent, active, and cloud? If you go the regular forums and click a topic, it sends you to the OP.
