Aion is your game, In it you'll get all the functions of
Exceptional Graphics,
Restricted flight mechanics,
Horrid Server balance,
but most importantly to your situation, GRIND GRIND GRIND. You'll grind so much you'll think you have a job in a slaughterhouse.
Game experience that you really don't(and shouldn't) care about:
Everqest,Everquest Online Adventures,Star Wars Galaxies,Dark Age of Camelot,Everquest 2,World of Warcraft,Pirates of the Burning Sea,Age of Conan,Aion, Rift.
does it include some nice mob spawns.. and fast gameplay ?
Lineage 2 will always be remembered as a huge grindfest....to me anyway. I havnt played in the past few years, but I'm pretty sure even with the updates and "faster" leveling help its still a huge grind, especially in the higher levels. It has some really nice graphics for its age....and of course you can always try its younger brother Aion
Both of these games have fast game play, and reasonable respawn rates. I remember aoe grinding over and over in the same spots in L2....havnt done any of that in Aion, but i'd guarantee theres spots for that as well.
I would agree with playing Aion if you want a polished grindfest, although I stopped playing myself because the asmodean side is very low population as compared to the white winged devils. My problem with Lineage 2 was the bots, it is a problem and will always be a problem. Both of these games are plagued by them. Dont get me wrong it used to be a lot worse but atleast they are playable now.
2Moons if you want an active F2P game with some really nice spell/skill animations.
Wurm Online, the whole game is a grind. Hotkey'd my middle mouse button to whatever action I was doing at the time then just sat there clicking it occasionally whilst watching movies and the like. It's absolutely 100% grind.
"Take my love, take my land,
Take me where I cannot stand.
I don't care, I'm still free,
You can't take the sky from me.
Take me out to the black,
Tell them I ain't comin' back.
Burn the land and boil the sea,
You can't take the sky from me.
There's no place I can be,
Since I found Serenity.
But you can't take the sky from me... "
Yes, agreed AION is that way ---------->
I actually thought it was a pretty good game, aside from the constant grinding.

The game is exaclty what you are looking for. Not only that it is pretty fun, although the grinding may make you feel like you are working instead of playing a game.
Yes, it does have fast gameplay, and the pvp was awesome last time I played. Not sure how it is now.

yeah AION look a very nice game but i think its p2p?
what about Eden Eternal or Argo Online? they both have quests, but really its just grinding in both cases. i actually enjoy it and find it relaxing to grind on occasion.

seem to complain about every single game as having horrible grind.
Im just making assumptions about what you want, but nobody who actually asks for grind wants the kind of trash that aion has. From someone who enjoy a good grind, aion is a bad grind. Its not the repetitive zen-trance perpetual grinding of a good grinding game, its the annoying kind of grind where you run around tedious locations. And if you did for some freak reason enjoy its grind you can still hit the level cap in a month, so it would be over too fast to really enjoy it.
Not that I have a good reccomendation. The grinding games i used to enjoy all changed so much over the years that they are no longer enjoyable.
The key to a good grinding game is a simple repetitive relatively fast paced combat system that has some sort of satisfying thing you can do, a key you press that makes you feel good to see those exp flowing in and feel powerful. Aion is your generic target lock auto attacking trash, and it lacks aoe grinding, which is sort of the acceptable alternative that target locking auto attack games can throw in to make grinding more fun.
You might try the 2d side scrolling games if you have not yet. Im not sure how they have evolved over time but they were fun when i tried them.
now that is why i played a hunter and a paladin in WoW originally. i enjoyed the trance like state that let you forget your worries and just zone out.
im hoping for a good 3D mmo that would allow for that kind of intensive constant grinding. GW1 can be grindy, but the mobs are mostly spread out too far apart. ive been playing the trial in Aion and like the grind only for the fact that ive got bonus xp items that make it worth my while to just mindlessly zap creatures.

This guy hasnt played Aion for a while... thats what it use to be like. Now its waaaaaayyy better. Way less grind based. If you want a grinding game just get Lineage 2.
Lineage II still is a grind-fest indeed. NCSoft did add some nice features like vitality system to speed up things, but now (81 Maestro) it still takes me hours to get a couple of % XP, even when dong AoE in Forge of Gods or similar places.
About that vitaliity system. It's nice and adds a small boost to leveling indeed, but if you're on a roll XPing, then you've used it in a couple of hours. I am already used again to level in Lineage II as slow as when I joined back in 2006
ITs not yet out but Lime Odyssey is made by the devs who made Ragnarok Online so Im guessing itll be very much like RO. It seems quite sandboxy so *crosses finger* hope its good!

I too enjoyed Flyff...good times, anyway...
Last Chaos, this game had huge amounts of grind, If I were to rate it at the scale previously discussed...I would say it was leaning partly towards the Un-fun grinding... But two other games hosted by the same company (forget how to spell the name ><;) Dream of Mirror Online and Twelve Sky 2, are both rather pleasing, DOMO especially, you can just find an area with enemies you need to kill and enjoy. There are a lot of classes...10, might be a bite more. You can change classes at anytime by speaking to a certain npc and the game remembers your stat distribution, so even if you want to play as more of a magic user, you can change over to a more melee-oriented style job and have strength and such (hope that made any sense)
You can also use some of the skills from other jobs on your current job. Its an interesting little game with a nice story, I suggest you give it a go. ( Or Last Chaos, or Twelve Sky 2)
well there all great examples i downloaded a couple but... with grinding and big spawns i sorta ment something else.
i dont know if any of you guys played flyff? i bet some do. it has spawn where you can almost not see the ground, and when you get pretty good you do 3 sec a kill.. I dont want to use 20-30 secs a mob xD. spawning some skills i want harcore fast killing. ofcourse quests are'nt that bad but give me grinding xD.
i am downloading aion and that lineage atm :O we'll see

That would be my initial suggestion, but there are dozens of Korean Grinders that would fit the bill just as well. Line2's pretty much the classic grinder all the way.
City of Heroes has your Massive Mobs requirement in some of the world zones, if you want to grind that route instead of running missions it would work out pretty well. Old-timers went with Fire Tanks, New-Style was Fire Controllers--not sure what they're up to these days. It's due to go F2P pretty soon (maybe already has).
