Any similarity to eve falls away.
The only reason people say that its similar to Eve, is because Eve is the only game out there to compare it to.
You could say that its like Wow compared to Aion.. but Wow and Aion are way to similar to use that analogy.
Eve is in space, PO is on the ground, Eve combat is simulated, PO is active WASD, Eve PVP is just around gates and stations, PO is everywhere, it just goes on and on.. crafting, mining, hauling, pve.. skills.. line of sight..radar..
Its a sci-fi sandbox... and thats the only real similarity.

I've been playing the game for a couple days now. Very interesting. So far its pretty complex.
Very econonomy driven.
I like that.
I also see how people are comparing it to EVE. It is very similar.
I'm not ready to PvP but will try it later, but right now I want to keep gathering ore for a bit.
I'm also unsure where to spend my points at the moment but I'm learning.
