opera has built in download manager, mail manager, runs faster than ie, doesnt slow down while running kazaa, looks cooler, has a very useful sidebar that doesnt take up too much room. but to everyone there own i suppose. i didnt like mozilla either.

Boo! Opera has Ad's if you don't pay for it. I bet you the other one has spyware on it if it's free.

Mozilla is a very nice browser just so you know.  The latest build really helped out the bookmarks.  Plus lots of people write plug-ins just for mozilla.  There is one very nice one that automatically filters out banner adds according to image size.

Spyware is Internet jargon for Advertising Supported software (Adware). It is a way for shareware authors to make money from a product, other than by selling it to the users. There are several large media companies that offer them to place banner ads in their products in exchange for a portion of the revenue from banner sales. This way, you don't have to pay for the software and the developers are still getting paid. If you find the banners annoying, there is usually an option to remove them, by paying the regular licensing fee.

I don't believe it has Spyware,  if you want to get all picky about it,  Windows has it built in.  Also the Pentium 3s had the "id",  but you can turn that off in the BIOS.

    I'm currently using IE 6 SP1.

If your really worried about Spyware just download AddAware, it is made by Lavasoft.  It scans for spyware and removes it.

hey, i just found a cool add on thingy for internet explorer http://www.avantbrowser.com/ it adds many of the things mozilla and opera have, and its free. and some sites wont load on mozilla and opera, only ie. so i might end up going back to ie and just use this.

Oh yeah I used that, it's free right? It's pretty easy to use you just click on search for any spyware and then if it finds it you click on recovery or something like that.

I detest IE...I used to use Opera a long time ago, come to think of it I used to use Mozella too.  Recently I installed Firefox and man oh man does that suck.

What I use now is Slimbrowser and I love it...it has tabs, which totally rokk, imho.  http://www.flashpeak.com/sbrowser/

I also use the Maxthon Browser which is kinda cool as well. http://www.maxthon.com/

    Give them a look over.

I've used Opera for years, ever since first release actually.

It has NO spyware of any kind. Its actually the only browser out there that has not had a "hole" or security problem. Its the safest and fastest browser you can use.

Its simple, and advanced at the same time.

Another cool thing is it has Bit torrent buildt into it. Which is nice when dl updated for games that use a BT client. or googling for downloads.
You can pick between 2 typs of "ads". The "long" one is the one I recomend. Personaly I bought the browser.

To Ryee that claimes he has used Opera...you sure you have used it? Opera has used "tabs" since day one. The browsers you have mentioned have to be the uglyiest browsers I have seen lol.

I've used firefox for several years now and have had no problems with it.

Has anyone tried IE7 beta? I hated IE 6 but i was surprised to see that i actually like the look IE7, its taken alot of features from all the other browers (Opera,Firefox etc) and its ment to be ultra secure though i wouldnt say that about the beta.

Heh, I didnt say anything bad about Opera, just said I used to use it a long time ago...sheesh.

As far as how my 2 browsers look...why would it matter, they both do for me what I need them to do, they both dont include crap I dont need, they both are fast and reliable, and in the event I want extra crap they provide for that as well...

I just need a browser that has tabs, is fast and reliable, and doesnt get in the way of me doing my work.

As far as IE7 goes...a few of my friends swear by it...II havent bothered with it so II can not say myself.
