Since SOE isn't allocating any resources to Vanguard, it really doesn't have much of a future, which is dissapointing considering how great the game is. What SOE should do is give Vanguard to another company in exchange for a certain percentage of profits, and allow that company to continue developing new content for the game so it doesn't die out. Something that I think would be a particularly good addition is some form of alternate advancement so each character isn't basically the same as characters of the same class in the long run, and of course adding more endgame content and a more PvP options would be very beneficial.

I really don't see this happening, unfortunately, but it would probably be the best bet for the game, and the only other way it's going to stay afloat is by going F2P, but what's most likely going to happen is SOE will put nothing into, keep making money for a while, then shut down the servers once it stops being profitable.
