I got a computer Dilema!!!

Ok, I have a computer dilema, and stereo typing that some mmorpg players have a clue about computers, I ask what to do. Ok... somehow, somewhere, somethign happened... Ok, see what happens is I cant have 2 interenet explorer windows open. Whenever I try to open a second one, the first one disepears... And its only interenet explorer, I tried it with netscape and had 7 windows going... so if someone could help me, please do image

    hmm, I've heard of this problem before, it's a tricky one.

    want to know how to fix it? Careful, it tooks years of research to figure the solution to this problem...

    EXPLORER4EVER

    I'm sure Firefox has a lot of cool features but I don't care. I've tried tabbed browsing and it's definetly good but I don't feel like adding another browser just for that. And it's more secure? Whatever, the day I actually get spyware from Explorer I'll believe it and change. I guess I don't click and download enough random shady crap like most people (ie. casino games that my friends seem to love to download and weeks later they wonder why their computer stops working).

    Try these...

    First, check this:

    Tools->Internet Options>Advanced

    Look for the setting "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts". By default that should be checked.

    Secondly, do you have Yahoo Toolbar installed? If so, uninstall it. Do this by going to:

    Start->Settings->Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs

    Let me know if either of these fixes your issue.

    Well, My dad wont let me download firefox image, my anti virus system doesnt pick it up as a virus and I tried doing the advanced options thing, everything right... and yahoo toolbar does not belong to me.. this happened after being bored and an update to shockwave :-/.

    Honestly, if your father won't let you download firefox, he obviously does not know much about PC software.::::35:: Make a chart!

    Hmm... Well I dont know :-/.. hes just pissed that i messed up the comp again.. btw does this look like a virus to you? And do you know anywhere where I could fix this?

    The FF installer is a .exe. Only the cheap software firewalls block .exe files. Once you install it, you have the option to set it as your default browser. Believing that firefox is a virus is just silly.

    no, no :P. Im saying like, does it seem what internet explorer is doing, does that seem like a virus :P. I know fire fox is not a virus, Im just wondering if something got mixed up in a freak accident or internet explorer really went crazy :P.

    Who fucking cares if IE doesnt work. Tell your dad to shut the hell up and use a better browser. My dad still uses Netscape Navigator 3.0 Gold. I remind him of his idioticy every day.
