How about a Dead Section List

I know we could just go and talk about such and such game someplace here but what about like the game list a section dedicated to Dead games which had the plug pulled, of course they would be mmo's. That way we could have that section to discuss and check old screenshots out and uploaded ones by players. The section could be just called DEAD LIST. There are many times I would come here and would think how it be cool if games like Shadowbane and Asherons Call 2 still had sections to look at old screens and shoot the crap with other players on that specific forum. There are plenty of Dead ones that had the plugs pulled over the years, including UOX.

Sounds like a decent idea to me. I don't know how many of those conversations I would participate in, but some of them might be an interesting read.

I vote for this. I've done the search on youtube for AC2 vids and other games that are now dead, so this would be nice to have a nice tidy section on my favorite MMORPG forum site to find that type of thing. Who knows, maybe if enough people post in it maybe some of those dead games, /gasp, might get re-vitalized and bought and relaunched or something. I mean, its the new age of the FTP to bring games back from the brink, we just need a nice public forum to chat it up for some of those games.
I for one would LOVE to see AC2 and Tabula Rasa come back from the dead. At worst, at least I would have a forum here to wander through and reminesce or imagine what it would have been like to play them.

I have been thinking about this for a very long time now, like the above poster it would be really cool to remember the dead ones and to maybe draw enough attention that those games might be able to come back, a long shot but if enough people got interested the company could relaunch it as FTP with maybe advertising and a item mall to make some cash.
Voted yes, on grounds that it mostly focuses on pulled plug games only
controversy would happen if it also add in games with a very small playerbase yet solid community.

this would be cool, would also give a place if a group of developers out there saw it, maybe an option to pick up an older game and rebuild it. Certain games have huge followings even though the games didnt last or get out of development

I was thinking more along the lines of a section like the Game List, with the tab to click and open up a new section showing the games in the list. And each dead canceled game in the list when you click it has it's own section to discuss on that games forum and check out old screens and whatever people would like to add.
As well as create a Hype rating where users can rate the canceled old games based on whats available to them and that would allow people to rate them based on old play or people who never played to rate on what they see in the info section.
I think making just a new section in the PUB wont be as good as the list section.
I bet 100% would agree a Canceled DEAD List section is better then just a canceled dead forum section. If it is a matter of time and money then I can see why you would just do a thread in the pub specifically for it, but it be kinda pointless since we could just start a new thread in the pub anyway or someplace talking about one these old canceled titles.

To sort the game list in this manner and reveal the canceled games simply go over to our Game List and click the "Canceled" button at the top. Voila.

Interesting never seen this section before or the cancelled button, thanks for the heads up. Some stuff so small and to many things on this site it's easy to over look.
But wait....now we can't pine over old games and maybe get them revitalized. NOOOO, don't shut us up now! /cry
