Question (For those of us with too much time on our hands)

The other day, I started looking for some of my paperwork... I walked from one room to another, and forgot what I was looking for, so I tried to look for a clue to the item I was looking for, but I could not remember anything about the Item(Paperwork) I was looking for, not what it looked like or anything, eventually I changed rooms, and I continued to look even though I did not actually remember what I was looking for until I had already forund it...

I wonder, Is it even possible to be 'looking' for something specific if you have no idea what you are looking for, or where you might find it?
