Sony Online Entertainment has announced that Everquest 2 Update 60: The Children of War is now live on all servers. Update 60 brings several key PvP improvements including a new lobby system, a new map, a new PvP battle type and more. Also added are some raids and heroic dungeons.

The Children of War Lore: The plans of Rallos Zek are beginning to come to fruition and the mighty Fortress of Drunder, which once sat within the Plane of War itself, has appeared on Norrath, and now rests high above the Kromzek city of Kael Drakkel. From Drunder, Rallos Zek plans to rally his war parties, scale the massive sheer cliffs leading to the Western Wastes, and execute his plan to steal the power of Roehn Theer. It will take bold and daring adventurers to enter the fortress itself, unlock the secrets to the salvation of Norrath, and thwart the destructive agenda of the God of War.

Man, I just don't understand EQ2.  Wasn't Lucan D'Lere supposed to start a war with that Qeynos and their pornstar looking Queen?  He was played by Christopher Lee and she that bad actress chick....

Whatever happened there? Did D'Lere just decide "Eh, you kno wwhat what, my sofa is pretty comfortable."

I don't get games that seem to have a direction, then go no where with it. EQ2 reminds me of SWG like that.
