Which of the two? or both?

By hotter, I mean in all aspects, not just looks.

I personally would rather have a guy who plays MMO's over a Guy who doesn't. Regardless of looks. Not to say I don't have preferences and standards, but it's easier to see myself attracted to a gamer rather than some uppity/in your face, drama queen, even if the gamer may not be as "hott" as the other.

are you hot!!!! oh yea and looks are very important. its the genral basis for attraction.  you dont approach a beautiful girl in the store if shes not beautiful ;)

Yup, I have to say the same about myself. I'd post a pic for proof, but I currently have far too many fans and appreciators that I just don't think it would be the responsible thing to do. Sorry ladies/gay men, maybe next time ;)

Anyone who plays MMORPGS in my books is hot.

I think what used to make gamers sexy was the fact that they were geeks and above average intellectually... they had many facts stored away to pull at a moments notice on a variety of interesting subjects.  They had fantastic imaginations to go along with that keen intellect and were just interesting and fun.

Now, gaming has become so mainstream, I think that a superior intellect is no longer the norm.  I believe the elf lord, 35, parents basement dwelling, hot pocket eating, bloated, pimply, nerd raging, frustrated freaks have taken over where the geeks used to be.

The Mr. Hydes are now running the amusement park...

    No bitchers.

What really bothers me, to follow up on your reply, is this....When people go after you on the games you are playing. I am not trying to offend anyone, but I hate online dating. But even worse, I hate when I see people in MMORPGS dating online and you can tell that the boy is using the poor girl for items or money or something. I just find it all sketched. Yes, MMO players are hot, their personality suits mine, hardcore gamer. But finding love over a MMO , its most likely a scam or not going to work.

    Oh. That.

Yeah it happens. More often than not because of apparent immaturity and lack of ethics................... typical.

To answer this question one must first determine how much AC a guy who plays mmos on average has compared to one who doesn't.

Most of the guys I game with who make a serious hobby of it are above the curve intellectually, we all share similar personalities and enjoy good discussion and pwning noobs. We also dip into insanity and childlike behavior though.

One big thing to note however is that we all agree we act way way differently with online ventrilo friends than we do with real life friends, we all consider our attitudes on ventrilo to be our true selves and offline friends get a different version. Its more a subconcious thing.

Not everyone can be honest online.

But the worst thing that can happen for anyone is that you allow your real life anxieties and problems to influence the way you behave online. And from my own experiences, it can really screw you up to the point where you don't wanna know anyone ingame and be a total stranger to everyone.

This I agree with. I said previous, online gaming dating, is dangerous. You never know who you are dealing with and what might happen, Most times, affection from another person, means they want to benefit themselves.

Actually, I did meet someone who was playing the same MMO as i did. We decided to meet each other when I went on a holiday overseas.

She seemed nice enough and intelligent enough in person. It's just that she ain't "my type". We never really contacted each other for a long long time.

Well I'm not going to post a pic here or anything. I will say this though, we did a post a pic thread on one my guild sites once. To be completely honest we had some really good looking people and some people that probably shouldn't go outside much for fear that they might scare children. Kinda funny, the chick that had the hot voice on vent was sooo fat I mean like 250+, and the chick with the most annoying voice was really hot like a 9-10.

So I don't think gamers are one or the other they seem to range just like any other group would.

It's like that at school, work, my hiking club, and when I was in the military too so I don't think MMOs would be any different. The cool thing is you get to know people before knowing what they look like instead of the other way around and that's a nice breath of fresh air.

Haha what an interesting thread. Can't say I would have expected something like this here. For myself I wouldn't say I'm 'hot' but I take care of myself. I was a really fat kid, and even a teen really. It was almost 10 years ago (ill be 27 soon) that I started working out, because I got tired of being out of breath everytime I climbed a flight of stairs. So *shrug* I'd do me.

LIkewise when I played Aion, my guildees had a picture thread up. It was a rather large guild and I was surprised at how many really gorgeous people were in my guild, stealin' my lewtz with terribly lucky rolls *twitch* sore subject...Anyway! Male and female, young and older, my jaws were dropping at some of the people there. Especially some of the more exotic looking guildmates that were playing from other countries. And yes, I'm fully comfortable declaring another man attractive. And while this is specifically about men, it'd be a travesty to leave out those lovely ladies (shout out to the Shinigami!)

It's odd, because despite myself not having the 'gamer bod', I guess I still sort of have that mental image when I think of other gamers? It's become sort of ingrained in the culture. But as it turns out, it's seldom accurate.

"Forums aren't for intelligent discussion; they're for blow-hards with unwavering opinions."

Matchmaking in MMOs, even when two individuals are genuinely in love with each other, still does carry a significant stigma now, i guess.

    I agree.

But personally, guys that play games can be hot depending on what game they play. There are too many guys obssessed with FPS (Can anyone say COD?), and some are douchebag's yelling at the screen. Yeah so totally hot....trick questions much?

Honestly, I don't care if what you look like, how you act and treat your woman is what matters.
