First of all, I've probably checked every single topic in these forums about Pvp games, I am looking for
- open-world PvP with rly limited safe zones (banks, temples etc only)
- challenging PvE
- no auto-targeting
- no bots/macroing
- preferably partial loot or at least rewards for Pvp
- preferably death penalty
- fantasy setting
- 3rd person view (2d or 3d, can be isometric like diablo/mythos)
- high level cap or no level cap
- i don't mind grind
- not korean/anime style
- nice graphics style (what I mean is - warcraft elves or trolls look badass{mod edit}, AND what the hell is with adding WINGS to all characters/armors, that looks worse than i could imagine; I don't want the game to have graphics like Crysis, but I've seen 2002/2003 games looking better than today mmo's)
I liked Wow, UO, Dota, old Runescape, Tibia, LoL, Torchlight, Diablo 2, Mythos, a bit Battle of Immortals
I didn't like Runes of magic, Darkfall, Linkrealms (so disappointed LOL), Aion, Ragnarok, Archlord, RF Online, Ryzom, Ryl, Shaiya, Dark Age of Camelot, Mortal Online, Free Realms, Star Wars MMOs, Final Fantasy MMOs
I know what is Tera, Torchlight MMO, Diablo 3, Arche Age, Drakensang Online they are not here yet, no need to recommend those, I'm waiting to check em
Comments
anything? no matter if it's p2p, as long as it has some trial
I would say Asheron's Call on the PvP server if you dont mind way outdated graphics.
Thanks! I'll definitely check that one out.
BTW, I see there was AC 2, but it has been shut down, are there maybe any private servers of that one to recommend? Anything similar to that ones?
edit;
just wanted to try out AC 1, lol, credit card needed to setup a TRIAL account, someone is retarded
You can try Aika, since it has great PvP (1000vs1000). http://aika.t3fun.com/Home/Home.aspx
About 3-5 days of questing and you'd be ready to hit it with the high-levels. You'd mostly be cannon fodder though, just like everyone else. That's what's fun about it. Survival is NEVER guaranteed, and you need complete concentration and situational awareness to stand a chance.
<TBA>
sorry, can't look at those pokemon faces >.<
anything...?:
Warhammer Online, Rift, Age of Conan and Guild Wars might be worth checking out. Of those, I know Warhammer and Rift have free trials.
Lineage 2 has a bit of an Asian look to it, but it may also be worth checking out.
Openworld PVP
Good dynamic environment
Can go instanced PVP if you want ( Warfronts )
Two factions plus Mob AI
It's P2P , but has excellent graphics, and takes bits from most A+ MMOs.
Lvl cap is 50 atm, but in PVP Open world you'll take a while to hit Rank 6.
The game?
Rift.
{mod edit}
Pirates of the Burning Sea? It has several of the requests that you were looking for. It is free to play so you can't go wrong with the price. Istaria has some of that as well....which also has a free trial.
EvE..but it's sort of an acquired taste. If you are looking for bad ass elves...pass on it. If you are looking for many of the items on your list...give the trial a chance.
Uncharted Waters Online might be of interest as well.
Good luck.
Playing: BF4/BF:Hardline, Subnautica 7 days to die
Hiatus: EvE
Waiting on: World of Darkness(sigh)
Interested in: better games in general
The only games with great PvP are Dark Age of Camelot, Eve, and Darkfall. So there's that choice narrowed down. Darkfall does have pretty great PvE, their mobs actually have AI, and the fighting is twitch based. Other than that... well, finding good MMOs is hard these days without a time machine.
I tried playing Aika Global before, but I only reached around level 20, because Ii saw it somwhat slow to gain level. Is there any new update on that game? If it's faster to level now like you said, maybe i'll try playing it again.
If you have a Phenon CPU regardless of speed, Rift will hate you. You will always have low FPS no matter how strong your Phenon CPU is.
False.
Phenom 2 X4 955 BE (3.2) w/ AMD Radeon HD 6870 -
50+ fps on Ultra Settings.
I had no problems running Rift on Phenom X4 9750, didn't like it tho back then, maybe I'll check it out again
