I'd perhaps get in contact with Steam and see if you can purchase without starting your sub.

But yeah, I bought it for 9 $, free month, and best MMO i've played in a long time. A real throwback type mmo.

It warms my heart to see so many people flocking back to Vanguard and appreciating what a truly great MMO it is. You guys almost make me want to come back. I played it solidly for about a year with my gf and had a blast...until level 50 when things kind of ended.

Trouble is, I just can't throw myself back into a game that is running on empty. No devs, no updates, no interest from SOE. How much longer will they keep it going? This always bugs me when I contemplate a return to VG and, in the end, I don't come back for fear of loving it again and having SOE pull the plug on me.

I played this way back when on a trial and loved it, I did leave though as it's not a very enjoyable game when your doing it solo.  I may resub again and give it another try.  I just can't get into any of the other mmo's out atm.  I will be sure to look up that guild also.

I'm not an IT Specialist, Game Developer, or Clairvoyant in real life, but like others on here, I play one on the internet.

I just can't see any reason for them to shut down Vg anytime soon so I wouldn't worry about that. But if you have done pretty much everything up to lvl 50, there might not be much left to do for you, since vg haven't had a updated in a while. Vg will be around as long as they have the station pass and while there still is two servers around. No reason to worry just yet I think.

When I was on the trial island before servers went down (just resubbed after 1 year hiatus)  there was 21 people there, this was middle of the week on US server. So there does appear to be a steady stream of new or returning players...even had a GM pop in and give some of us random goodies was fun.

YAY! With SOE comming back to life I can get back into Vangaurd. I was quite productive while I was gone though. I did a 2nd playthrough of Dragon Age, played through and completed my first play through of Dragon Age II, got two gym badges on Pokemon White, and played a million Flash games on Kongregate.. lol I didn't realise how much time MMOs had been stealing from my other gaming interests. Gonna have to re-examine that. Anywho, see you guys in game!

I'm looking to get into Vanguard.  I tried it before but the guild I was in decided to move away from the game, leaving me doing mostly solo stuff which turned me off (it would for any game, but especially for this one).  I would like to find a static group of players that are committed to the game, or a guild that is fairly active to join.  If anyone out there is interested in the same, let me know!

I'd group with you! Unfortunately my play times are a bit awkward. I can play late night (usually 11pm-7am CST) during the week and then during the evening (3pm-11pm CST) on the weekends.

So if you're a late night gamer id be up for making a regular adventure group. Even if it is for just a few hours when I first log on.

My hours are 8:00 to midnight, EST.  If we can make our schedules work, it would be great to start Vanguard again with ya.  Let me know what you think.

My Characters name is Rheyu, She's only a lvl 7 Goblin Shaman I made the day before the servers went down. I'll be on all night tonight, and all day tomorrow. I just worked a double over the weekend so I plan on spending lots of time in vitual worlds over the next day or two ^_^

If you have an IM of any sort, just message me with your SN and we can see about meeting up in game and working out a schedule. I dunno if you were wanting to create two new characters to static together, or what but I'm up for anything that beats running around Telara alone. Hehe.

I hear ya.  Rift is great but the same thing happened to me there . . . guild fell apart and now I am pretty much solo.

I don't have IM, but I will PM you my E-mail.

I was wondering - is everyone on the Telon server now? I logged in again yesterday and found all my characters were on Halgar (I thought this was being merged?). Was just wondering if it's worth moving over to Telon if everyone is over there now, or just sticking with Halgar. Is anyone actually on Halgar these days?

  • EverketEverket Member UncommonPosts: 244

I'm eu and used to play on halgar, but I found more activity on telon(even as eu) so I moved over there.

Not sure if its the case though, but I felt little activity on halgar.

  • ArcheAgeArcheAge Member Posts: 363

Yes most of us EU players moved over to Telon after the merge,Halgar is dead really.

Put in a petition for transfer but you might as well start another character while you are waiting,it could take days or weeks for the move.
