We thank you for your patience as we continue to work around the clock to restore our game services. We know this has been a frustrating time for you and appreciate your understanding as we work to confirm the security of our network.
In light of the recent outage of Sony Online Entertainment's game services due to April's cyber-attack, we are committed to compensating our loyal player base for the inconvenience caused by the data breach and lost game time while we improve our security measures.
We are currently in the process of an extensive upgrade to our network to further protect your information from future attacks. It will likely be at least a few more days before we restore our services, and when we come back online, here is what you can expect for each of our game services.
First and foremost, all impacted players will receive 30 days of game time added to the end of the current billing cycle in addition to one day for each day the system is down. Additionally, many games are offering a variety of in-game items and special events to welcome players back once our services resume (per the outline below). This is true for both PC and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system based products.
For our lifetime subscribers, we'll grant in-game currency; specifically 20,000 coins for Free Realms, 7,500 Galactic Credits for Clone Wars Adventures and 10 Marks of Distinction for DC Universe Online (in addition to the items listed above).
And finally, our Station Access subscribers will receive 500 Station Cash, in addition to the subscription time and items listed above.
Additionally, we announced today that SOE will provide its U.S.-based Station Account holders with complimentary enrollment in an identity theft protection program through Debix, one of the industry's most reputable identity protection firms. For Station Account holders who live outside the U.S., SOE will be offering similar programs, if and as available, and will provide details as they're confirmed for each country or territory.
We continue to work around the clock to restore SOE's services and thank you for your continued patience as we complete our investigation of this criminal attack.
Thank you,
Sony Online Entertainment

They're such cheapskates at SoE.
Free xp costs them absolutely nothing, offer us a PS3 game or something of value to compensate.
Fast XP is what keeps me away from SoE games...............funny how some people has different interpretation of "Gifts"
Anyway, what SWG players are getting? A pre-NGE server?
Never
I'll pass then, thank you very much
A pre nge server would crash under the strain of a mass of over excited players, hehe. A lot of pre nge servers.....mmmmm, yes please
See why people hates SoE?
No one is asking to update the game but to open few servers with the game client of 2003.
Their refusal to admit defeat is so unbelieavebly stupid, it's beyond belief
Pre-NGE server FTW hell yeah.
Totally agree. I know a lot of players who would jump at the opportunity and from reading many many threads on here and other forums so would many many more.
It would only put more money into SOE's pockets which is savvy business but SOE are so stubborn to the point it is beyond stupidity.
For years now SOE have denied the fans this but I think of just how much money they would have lost over this time would be millions. Proof that SOE are mental.
Pre nge servers? nah, that would be good buisness. SWG players are gettng a worthless POS decor statue......when the servers were brought down we were in the middle of a 2x Token/ XP weekend.....and instead of reinstating that, we get a statue, that i can put in a house full of crap and never look at again.
I guess i shouldnt say "we" anymore, soon as i can log in im deleting everything that the few freinds i have left dont want, including the supercoolawesome statue.
Complaining about fast xp and yet you list WOW as playing now. WoW is the reason why most games changed there leveling because of how fast you level in it. At least with EQ2 you can turn your AA xp up and level slower now. I usually play with mine set at about 30%xp 70%aaxp you don't level fast that way and if you are not rushing for end game you will end up with all your aa's way before you reach lvl 90.
I just want them to turn the servers on so I can delete my station account. I am done with SOE's constant blunders.
It's SOE so I'm not surprised at the mediocre compensation. What I'd really like to see added is the option to have my information permanently deleted from their servers. I can't say that I will never play another SOE game but it is very likely that I will never play another of thier games. So why hold onto my information?
I think Vanguard as a bonus should get a full time developer for at least six months.
well, glad to see it took less than 5 posts to get around to beating on the pulp that remains from the dead horse. It's not going to happen, SoE and LA don't want to go that way. I want a '57 chevy but they don't make them like that anymore. Lets all bitch and moan over it and go on and on about how Chevrolet is the worst company in the world for the sole reason they moved away from the '57 chevy model of cars. Sorry but I'm really sick of the crowd of bitter divorcees going on about what was a decent game changing from thier idea of what each and every game should be. Yes, I played SWG back in the day, mourned, moved on. perhaps others should too (or bill SOE for thier councelling bills for getting the grief councel they need). Dead horse is dead.
I wasn't begging for it, I've been sarcastic.
What I was saying is that SoE tries so hard to get players back with pointless offers when what it has to do is to listen to its customers which don't like their watered down MMOs anymore.
The ironic thing is that most of those items would normally go to the cash shops or double xp events they already run on random weekends. As compensation for being offline almost two weeks, SOE is going to offer players something they should have been getting anyhow.
On the bright side, DCU players are getting a mask. Perhaps that will help them protect their identity.
A boba fett statue for SWG? what a slap in the face. Maybe if i could trade it in for one in game item or something I would be ok with that, but you gave out all the information to steal someones identity and we get a statuette
And those of you playing Vanguard get nothing..... move along ... move along.
A "pick a loot item" TCG card would be nice for SWG...
I saw the new SoE message last night as well. Looks like they throw us a bone to keep us busy while they figure out how to upgrade mess they made calles 'security'.
I agree that it's not a reel compentation. All items 'given for free' are just digital things that'll cost them NOTHING >:( Give us something REALLY free, like the next expansion of one of the games...
And only US identity thefts services - WTF? You have international users too! You leave me out of this service completely. Been to the police to file a report and as long as my data isn't used I CAN'T DO SHIT BUT WAIT.
Well, SoE is done in my book. Though they messed up my subscription so that I can play free, now I don't want to return at all anymore!
Shouldn't tell you something?
If a WoW player complains about recent MMOs being too fast, that means that probably developers are doing something wrong.
And by the way I do play WoW very casually, for me is a time filler between Darkfall.............which is not a fast leveling MMO at all
This compensation is just terrible.
Given all the (totall free) things at their disposal - Station Cash, Subscription Time, other SOE games, Station Access, cards packs for LoN, etc - the fact that they choose to throw out a couple of "free xp" days is just pathetic.

Interesting Fact - I own 27 Tarantula's
Did you read the OP? It's a mini Slave 1 ship model.
Giving you a TCG loot would cut into their profits.
You folks are ridiculous ... you shouldn't be compensated anything past the time paid for and protection to your indentities.
They give you a year of identity protection ...
They also give you free game time ...
Then they attempt to turn the unfortunate event into something interesting for their games by offering events, items, and increased exp and loot.
Besides losing game time this last month how were YOU affected by Sony being hacked? Were did it hurt your bottom dollar? Was your identity stolen, did your game accounts get deleted or hacked ( Time will tell) ... how exactly did Sony getting hacked affect you?
Considering none of you can offer anything in the way of damages (besides some mob mentality fear that a third world slub would take out a loan in your name ) your a bunch of ungratefuls.
I've been holding my fingers crossed and hoping that my CC info wasn't on that database. Even if my credit card from 2007 is outdated, the new credit card has same number so all they'd have to do is to switch the expiration date 3 years forward and they'd have valid info. Luckily it looks like my CC info hasn't been stolen, SOE would have informed me if it was, wouldn't they?
I'm not living in the USA so I'm not getting complimentary free ID protections.
I'm not playing any SOE games right now, so I'm not getting any other compensation either.
If the compensation is good for you, I'm happy for you. But there are people with reason to be unhappy.
For Station Account holders who live outside the U.S., SOE will be offering similar programs, if and as available, and will provide details as they're confirmed for each country or territory.
Am I reading this wrong?
Whats your reason to be unhappy?
