Alternative Download Medhod?

I hate Pando Media Booster, the main way LOTRO's developers want you to download the game. It takes up RAM for some reason, and eats up more bandwidth than it should.
I uninstalled LOTRO maybe a week ago (estimate), because I didn't play it near what I used to and wanted to try something new. Well, the "something new" wasn't very good. So I've been thinking about playing it again, so I thought I'd just reinstall... too bad Pando Media Booster doesn't work with install files, or even compressed files at all. It literally downloads everything as it is... so it ends up taking several hours to download almost 10 GB of files, instead of (if the files were compressed) around 6-8 GB.
Does anyone know of an alternative download method, maybe an installer? Pando Media Booster pisses me off to no end.
