I don't know if this fits your needs but Monster Bowl is a browser based manager game where you have control of a team of fantasy creatures playing some kind of american football.
It is funny to see your litte guys beat the crap out your enemy team in the java match viewer.

    Doesn't look very interesting... though I would recommend it to anyone who has a sports fetish AND a fantasy fetish.

    If you aren't a loser and don't like playing browser games, there is actually a real game called Chaos League that is the same concept. http://www.chaosleaguegame.com/

    dont be tided off by this guy.... obviously he has  self denial issues about being a loser.  I mean honestly... what makes playing browser games a loser?  If this is your style of gameplay and you enjoy it why should you NOT play it... give me a break.
