Deleting a character is going to take 10 hours?

I am trying to make a new character but stupidly when I first bought my account I made 3 different alts just messing around. Now after trying to delete one it says I have to wait almost 10 hours now. Any way around this or am I kinda stuck waiting?

No, unfortunately, it's there as some deterrent to recycling alts. So, you'll have to wait the full 10 hours before being able to reroll.

The reason for this is that people sometimes use alts as suicide runners (example: lets get three other suicide alt mates, stick them in Kestrels and go gank an expensive mining barge in an ice belit in 0.8 space ... CONCORDOkken comes, who cares? Log in with hauler alts and collect the loot. Rinse. Repeat) CCP considers this an exploit, but the 10 hour wait is a deterrent in addition to that exploit status.
