Ya'll going PvP or PvE?

I haven’t post here in a few years, so hi all.
Anyways I typically prefer pvp servers. But after reading the RIFT forums (the subscriber section, not just open beta) I’ve concluded that I find RIFT players really annoying.
And factor in massive calling imbalance (hello rogue I’m looking at you), open world pvp just don’t seam all that appealing.
Also factor in I plan to play casual and not rush to top levels.
And I would rather explore class combinations than just use cooking cutter pvp build of the week.
So I think I’ll go PvE server. But it’s a shame I really like pvp, and I did come up with a great warrior build just for hunting rogues, which I know there will be tones of on the pvp servers.
So I am sort of torn.
Anyone here have a good pvp guild on a pvp server?

I think going PVP is my choice, but even on PVE servers you're going to have access to the same Warfronts, etc. I think the only diff. is "world pvp" which I dont have much faith in being that great anyway.
World pvp will be good, since you can fight over rift raids, and attack groups trying to take down a raid rift, etc. A decent bit of dynamic content that will be affected by world pvp.
My god has horns.... nah, I don't think he is real either.
I'm sticking with PvE for now. Burnt out on PvP servers and am just looking forward to Exploring, Crafting, Rifting, Fighting Invasions, doings Quests, crawling Dungeons, collecting Artifacts and the occassional Warfront. I don't think I will miss world PvP one bit, to be honest.

PVE is for players that would be concioencous objectors (or hide) if there was a real war.

Briarcliff PvP all the way. Ganking will ensue with all the PvP guilds from US and Oceanic (EU guys are calling it their unofficial PvP server as well) guilds rolling there. Can't wait. It's gonna be like anchorhead all over again pre-cu style, I hope.

I would say try the PvP RP server. Usually those people tend not to be too bad. However, I think you will have more fun on a PvP server. Get yourself a guild wih some decent people and you will have a great time.
Remember it was open beta so I noticed it had alot of WoW-like chat in it. As the game matures, and when people have to pay you will see the community get better.
And I will be rolling PvE RP and try the occasional warfront or turn on my PvP flag in Port Scion for my PvP fix. But I am really looking forward to the end game raiding. Sounds alot like old EQ1 raiding with insane graphics.
Both. My main will be on a PvP server with an alt on a PvE server to compare the two styles of gaming. Once I'm comfortable I'll settle on only one.
pvp all the way
i played both warrior and rogue in beta and i think rogue are not op at all. clelic are much harder to kill with there healing and decent damage and rogue damage are retard compare to warrior. so they got stealth for reason.
going PVE. Like many am bored to death of PVP. Prefer exploration and more chilled out experience rather than button bashing with 10 year olds who think the game is real life. PVP was invented to keep the masses subscribed to a pointless past time.

Same here. I'm really tired of cool game worlds that have ill-conceived last minute PVP crapped onto them which does little more than restrict your ability to geneuinely enjoy the game content you're paying to play.

PvP for me and I can still PVE with the feeling that I can be attacked at anytime just like our real world. I never can see my self playing around none hostle players IT's BORING!!
A friend of mine who is going to Rift with me has made some friends on Shatterbone. He'd like to stay there an I don't "need" to be on a pvp server.
Will just take advantage of the pvp as I can.

PvP is a added bonus to challenge.
Because in real life people just stand behind you in stealth while you wave down a cab then gank you and jump around teabagging your corpse and "lol roflcoptr" and bounce off.
I can never stand PVP servers, but my friend I work with is getting the game and wants to play on a PVP server so there I go

agree, if you want the extra challenge its true.....i just want to relax.....its my style so i go pve.
Thats why they have pvp AND pve servers.

I don't think the ganking is half as bad as everyone thinks it is. I think people just have a problem being encouraged to band together.

PvE-RP for me. The RP servers tend to be a bit more "tame" when it comes to ludicracy from e-peen morons.

I will be on pve server,dont like pvp at all,would like a real pve server where you cant pvp at all not even duel.
Well I'm going to be starting a character on the same server as a buddy of mine and he says PVE servers seem boring after trying pvp servers. I am however going to start a character on a rp-pve server also so I can just focus on the content and not looking over my shoulder constantly lol.
