I thought NCSoft stated somewhere that they cancelled Lineage III to focus the new ideas and graphics on revitalizing Lineage II, and they seem to be doing a great job of it with all the returning players. Maybe that was just a rumor though. I know they had some problems with past employees suspected of stealing the code for L3, but I couldn't find confirmation of the L3 cancellation.
