Ahh, that makes sense, I was trying to update the Beta version. Well, I played the game last night and it was terrible, I wanted to see if this patch made a difference.

Is there a way for me to try the latest patch before launch? Im not dropping 60 bones unless this last patch was magic!!

    Thanks!

Edit: this is what I get when I try to log into the download page.

Unable to connect. Please try again later.

If the problem persists, please contact Support Team at [email protected]

Reviewers are going to rip it to shreds i'm afraid.  But most will probably finsih with 'has the potential to be great'

My box has been shipped so i'll hopefully get it tommorrow for launch day.  I've played launch days for loads of MMO in the last 15 years and get a buzz out of the madness.

I was glad to join the beta, was interested in the game but, this is the kind of stuff that stinks... a lot.

Yeah i love MMO launches too.. The last one i was able to participate in was AION; and i had the best time of my life playing through that game with my rose-colored tints and all.. Then again a lot of things fell into place with me there, i was used to grinding mobs so i had a one up then everyone else and i knew how to get into idratu.. And with lvls comes a good legion, which i found too (best group of people i've had the chance to play MMO's with tbh.)

But lets face it, AION wasn't that great at launch.. PvP was awsome, but the PvE was a grind.. All and all i spent a lot of money for a game i'd quit playing after only a few months.. I havn't made the mistake since.. Been researching each MMO i'd purchase since then, thats why i passed on DCUO and now Earthrise; but i'll defiantly be there launch day when it comes to Rift.

Yeah Rift is a very solid polished game.

I wish I could play it at launch but I have to go back to work soon. So I'll be busy till April. Probably pick it up when I get back and try to play catch up.

MMO launches are indeed great. When everyones in the same boat as you in terms of learning and chatting etc. Rift seems polished and everything but its anootherrrr 1 click hotbar bash fantasy mmo - I'm just sick of them. I know if I buy it i'll love it for the first week or two then just stop playing like all the other mmo's of that type. Earthrise interests me because it's not so often a title like this comes along.
