Either High Elf or Human. The Defiants have a weird look to them, don't really like it, and with no monster race I'll just pick a pretty race instead. I can't stand playing as a dwarf.
For me, I've always liked the look of Bahmi as a Warrior. Then I got into Beta 4 and the racials are great to boot. All geared up, the Bahmi looks terrific as a Warrior/Paladin giant.
I honestly can't choose yet. I've played all races and hated all of them. They all look pretty horrible except for the mathosian, but I don't intend to play Guardian and I don't like their racials.
If i had to choose right now, I'd roll Kelari for the racials atleast.
Whatever I think fits with my class probably....I am not real big on their races, its not a big negative, but none of them make me have a strong opinion on them.
I like the Bahmi. I like their racials, and I like the way they look. Now, I'm sure I will roll a few chars... so one might be Eth, or even a Kelari (my least favored calling at this point is Rogue).

I'll be on Guardian side, probably Human, though wish Racial Abilities were a "choice" and called "Background Abilities" more-so than tied to race.
I will play high elf but do think the racials do need work.

Drop the next-gen marketing and people will argue if the game itself has merit.
I was initially planning on going dwarf,but the way they look and their animations are just....BLEH (though I havent tried a female one yet)
