I'm currently on the lookout for a new MMORPG to play and I'd like it to be P2P, avoiding F2P at all costs. I've tried WoW, which bored me one month into it. I've tried LOTRO (F2P), Guild Wars, DDO (F2P), Darkfall (my computer is not good for it, was laggy on low settings), and probably a couple others I missed.
I'm looking for a game that just isn't quest after quest after quest. I want a game where I always have to be on the lookout for a possible attack by a fellow player. I'm sick of of just roaming around in a safe world with nothing to look out for.
I basically want to try something different but I do not know whats out there...Also EVE doesn't appeal to me, I'm not into flying a spaceship around.
So any recommendations would be awesome.

If you're into heroes and comic book stuff...Champions Online or City of Heroes might be a good way to go.
Not sure about this one...but check out and see if Star Trek Online is right for you (If you like that sci-fi space/ground combat stuff).
Otherwise, I don't think I know anything else that's P2P unless you are in the subscriber/premium-shop-overpowering free-account-quadrillion-times mood.
Most MMO's seem to have quest content so it's quite difficult to fit that description; I try to avoid quests too but after awhile, you just have to do them.
Hope this helps.
You might totally hate me for this but... if you like the idea of EVE, but don't like spaceships, check out Perpetuum. It's basically EVE only set on the grounds and with Mechs (robots).
It's totally sandbox though, not a lot of storyline or quests... definitely PvP though. Just you know... don't come back yelling "zomg, it's empty, i had nothing to go! NPCs don't have question marks!" ... actually, i kid, there are no NPCs
if you want something more traditional/polished, AoC on a PvP server will get you killed plenty. It's has amazing graphics though, so you need a beasty system to run it. Also, PvE is pretty quest-based, although the combat is really really fun, so it's actually kinda fun to just go out and slaughter mobs for xp instead of doing the quests. I did that a bunch.
