New Rig, but need sweet audio

WaldoeWaldoe Member UncommonPosts: 642

Just finished building this:

Intel Core i7-920 Bloomfield 2.66GHz OC to 3.3

Corsair  6GB  DDR3 ram

Seagate Barracuda 500GB 7200 RPM HD

Intel X25-M Mainstream  2.5" 80GB SSD

EVGA GeForce GTX 580 Superclocked

ASUS VW246H Glossy Black 24" 2ms(GTG) HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor

The only thing is I need some kick ass speakers to add to this baby.

I was thinking the Razer Mako speakers:

But I could totally be missing something else that is awesome. I am not afraid to try stuff that looks awesome compared to your standard rectangle speakers (not that those are bad either ha)

Any info or advice on a sweet yet not insanely priced audio setup would be awesome.

I would look for the Logitech Z-5500 over the Mako. If your buying holiday season the Z5500's go for under $300 with free shipping.

I do not have a ton of room for more than 2 speakers right now. Should have said that my b.

Bascially, I want the best 2.1 speakers out there. You think the Logitech z-5500 ups the mako? Let me check it out either way.

What is insanely priced?  You can get a pretty good receiver and some good speakers for a few hundred bucks.  I wouldn't spend much on the computer gear sound setups.

If you want some good speakers that are decent for a great price you can use the philips MMS321 they are excellent and have great reviews.

I have a pair hooked up to my 46" sony bravia 3d tv and they are superb.
