TERA: G-Star Trailer

SBFordSBFord Former Associate EditorMember LegendaryPosts: 33,129

Frogster and TERA developers have a new trailer from last week's G-Star 2010 convention in South Korea. The TERA trailer opens by taking the viewer through the vast landscapes, landmarks, and cities in the world of TERA. Transported to a town square, we see Samael grinning as he is being elected the new lord of the TERA world.

Looks yummy. I am sure this is going to be 1000 times better than FFXIV.

Who could have thought that WOW could bring super power like USA to its knees?

The character design on this game is amazing...ugh, I want. :[

I'll probably get 10 fps on my laptop with Tera, but it'll still be awesome! :D

The previous posters all need to read this thread:

Yes TERA looks good, but no one has one clue how it will play.  Perhaps we should wait and see what kind of game play it provides before jumping on the hype meter.

It's ok to get a little exited about a new game. Pay no mind to [Captain Wet Blanket]. There are plenty of vidios showing game play, which show the need for plenty of movement in pve, and pvp. It seems that standing in one spot, and clicking is going to = fail. Good for TERA !

I don't know if the game will be deep, or have a large world, but it will look good, and require the player to be involved. That much is clear from vidios that i've seen. Many games can be played while watching tv.

Add .05 to the hype meter for me.

Don't blame me for being sceptical...too many games I've seen that didn't meet the expectations once they were out...let it be the general gameplay, bug state of the release version, the endless grinding due to the lack of quests or the lack of endgame content. AoC, Aion, FF14, just to name a few, were called the new stars on the mmorpg heaven and none of them kept the promises they made when still under development.

Don't get me wrong...I am really looking forward to a few games presently under development (TERA, Rift and GW2) and I'm also gonna play them but only then am I willing to judge them and decide if they really meet my expectations...everything before the release is only nice to know and doesn't proof anything.

looks gewd, but i wont play it. The females wear way too little clothes, and i dont want to perv any more that i already do. Im not sum pathetic loser getting horny on games( im married ). If i wanted to watch porn i would.  Dont want it in games. Too bad too, cause the rest of the game looks nice. :)

Why do people complain about "hype" only on the fucking TERA articles and not on the no-news-we-are-awesome news of GW2 or the massive marketing campaign of Trion? So I tell you this: shut the fuck up.

Maybe you should watch some stream live videos from the betas to have a better idea how it play. Sure you don't actually play when watching a video, but you definitly can get a good sense of it.

The creators of the trailer really need to make a feature movie of this. They have some real talent in story telling.

Well Rynne it is this way, TERA is being made for Korea first then being ported to the west.  Not to bash the Koreans, they enjoy different things in their MMO's, more power to them.  Just that here in the west, we have been disappointed time and time again so we tend to be skeptical of anything that is initially designed for eastern tastes.  A lot of that eastern design does not show itself until you get into the meat of the game.

Now TERA could be made so it is flexible enough to appeal to all our tastes.  If so it will be the great game, we will just have to wait and see.  Videos, only show a small portion of a game.  Remember how great Aion looked in the videos?

Remember how great AoC, WAR and APB looked? There is no need to worry more for this game than GW2, Rift or Swtor. And since I already told you why your arguement is terribad, the only logical explanation to what you are doing is trolling, so I'm going with that.

It was a lovely trialer , yet I put questionmarks with the actual real gameplay moves... some where just to pretty to be actual gameplay ;)

Still hope I am wrong ^^
