The trading card game based on the Star Wars Galaxy MMO will be expanding soon with The Price of Victory. The new expansion pack celebrates the thirtieth anniversary of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. The story told in The Price of Victory parallels the events from The Empire Strikes Back and features a ten scenario story arc.

Embark on an all-new ten-scenario story arc that goes deeper into the events that shaped the Empire's destructive retaliation on the Rebel Alliance. Players will be embedded within the Rebel and Imperial forces at the great Battle of Hoth, face fierce fighting aboard the massive Imperial Star Destroyer, the Tyrant, engage in epic combat en route to the rendezvous point and traverse the dangers of the underworld of Cloud City. Plus, discover an entire new set of The Empire Strikes Back-themed loot, including the first ever Yoda and Cloud City housing structures and the Single-Pod Cloud Car player vehicle!

So this is what passes for content in the NGE? Updates to a card game RMT scam?

SOE sinks to a new low with this one...

I'd have zero problems with the card game if you could flat out just buy the ingame items with real life cash or ingame currency at a set price. But having to buy multiple packs and hope you get the items you want really just doesn't seem right to me. It would also be nice if those items were obtainable by ingame means since most of them are items we wanted before the stupid card game ever came into existence.
