Help with EVEmon

I received my PC a few days ago but unfortunatley the monitor crapped out on me, but that hasn't stopped me from preparing character build from the trials I want to play. I downloaded EVEmon because I thought it could be used as a character planner but I am not seeing that as an option. Do you have to have an existing account or am I overlooking something?

    This post came up through Google Alerts, so I shall answer it here. Yes you need to have an active EVE Account to use EVEMon. There are ways around this, such as the blank character XML.
