LOL, it's over for that student. I'd have to say that is worse than getting shot. Even if the data is intact, that is going right in the files. Why are people so stupid these days? Steal as much as you want people, but your going to get caught someday and there is nothing you can do about it.
I know some years ago in my state, a straight A, brilliant student who has numerous scholarships and demands from colage, what's a computer. He tries steals a computer (and I'm talking about screen, keyboard, mouse, etc.) from school and he gets caught. He lost his reputation, scholarships, everything. Idiot. A successful student like that can get that just donated to him.

I just watched this and I have two takes. The first is one of "Don't sing it, bring it," meaning the professor is talking too much and if the case was solid as he implied it was, then there'd be no need for the speech in the first place. Second, and with all due respect, if the computer had all that data that he said it did, then quite honestly, it's his own damn fault for losing it in the first place. Who the hell leaves a laptop laying around with a multi-million dollar court case within it? I have no doubt he'll be caught. But I am also wise enough to know that he more than likely will not go to prison if he confessed, despite the sincerity of the professor.

I have to run DivX for just the video, and Winamp for just the audio, lol..weird.
Im pretty sure the professor was lieing, and nothing that would mean a breach of security is on it. If it was, the files would be encrypted, and only the professor would have the password. The bootup would be password protected, and I doubt it'd be eaisly copied.
He just wants his pron back.

I used Quicktime. Strange thing is that when I clicked on the mp4, it asked what program I wanted to open it with. I then had to manually track down the QT executable and play it that way.
anytime i find a video (like this one) where either the video or audio wont play on most players i use VLC Media Player (VideoLAN)
