I'll definately be pre-ordering a couple of Collectors Editions of SW:ToR. I love Star Wars and I love BioWare games so this one is a given.
I'll probably pick up Guild Wars 2 as well seeing as there is no sub fee. I don't see me playing it much though, but just like it's predecessor it will always be on my hard drive for when I fancy a change of scenery.
I'm also very interested in Earthrise and The Secret World, but I am worried that Earthrise is never going to release. A couple of screenshots every 4 months or so is not what you expect to see from a game supposedly nearing release. As for The Secret World, I think we won't see that until 2012.
I have a passing interest in TERA too as I am intrigued by the active combat system, but whether I pick this one up is 50-50 as I enjoy Sci-Fi far more than the overdone Fantasy genre.
MMORPG History: Playing - EVE Online. Played (Retired) - AO, SWG, MxO, WoW, RFO, SoR, CoX, EQ2, GW, L2, Vanguard, LotRO, AoC, TCoS, Aion. Favourite MMO - Pre-CU SWG, 3 Years, 4 Accounts, 2 Pre-CU Jedi (1 Pre-9). Awaiting - Star Wars: The Old Republic, The Secret World, Earthrise.
Where is the vote option for "None" as in not going to preorder any game.
Preording a MMO is posibly the worst decision you can make as a consumer because it takes your voice away. Preordering means you are buying hype and the all the company has to do is sell you hype and they make money. No need to make a good game anymore. People wonder why the MMO industry is so full of fail right now. Companies racking up huge sales in preorders is a major reason why they don't care about the end consumer or our opinions.
none. with amout of shallow games going to the market preordering one is very risky, and usually not worth the money (especially all these super-duper collector/lifetime editions). im waiting for 1st impressions of any mmorpg before i even try it.

FF XIV anyone?
What he said, but that doesn't mean I'm not waiting and hoping for the next game that will kick my current.
As of now, the 2011 game I'm looking the most forward to is The Secret World, but considering Funcoms launch habits, I'm waiting it out for first impressions before ordering, no matter how many rhinos they add as a pre-order bonus.
only game i will preorder will be guild wars 2. Why? Becouse anet didnt disapoint ever with anything if they will goodbye preorders from thsi company too.
None, I doubt I will ever pre-order an MMO ever again, after past disappointments.
But of those titles, the ones I am following with genuine interest are Guild Wars 2 and Earthrise; the ones I am particularly disinterested in are SW:TOR and Tera.
I'm only interested in two games on the list those being GW2 and SWTOR, but I don't think I'll be doing any preorders it's a stupid practice that only makes sense to me if one expects the game to be such a hot seller that there are no copies left and I can't remember the last time I wanted to find a game and was unable to. I got duped this year though into pre ordering STO though for the goodies they offered and I hated the game so much it turned me even against the company that made it so I expect regardless of the goodies they offer that it will be my first and last mmorpg pre order ever.
Oh yeah no DCUO on the list either?
but yeah, to call this game Fantastic is like calling Twilight the Godfather of vampire movies....
I have the Rift: Planes of Telara Collector's Edition already pre-ordered.
Reasons why:
1: Soul System- The more I read on it and the more that is revealed I know just what I would like to play and try out as far as classes go. Even gives me ideas for classes that I don't normally play.
2: Visuals- It is an amazing looking game. Even with the game still in Alpha and moving towards Beta it looks amazing. Yep I will play it partly because it looks awesome.
3: Dynamic Content- It seems to me that "dynamic" is the new IT phrase for MMOs. But with Rift it seems that they put a lot of thought into what will really happen if something is or isn't done in the game. Invading planes can actually overrun cities hindering you from completing a quest hence making you repel the invasion and saving your world.
4: Soloability- While I know this is an MMO and part of that means you should group, I also don't want to feel like I HAVE to group to enjoy the game. I like to be able to go do my own thing and then later find people, or get together with friends after work to do things together.
5: Interest- Simply put; it sparked my interest. There were actually a few MMOs that were on my radar for the coming year, yet Rift is the one that has stuck and got me itching to play. Rift was technically my Second choice of MMO, but after reading up on it and comparing it to the Number One new MMO on my list, Rift won, hands-down.
I will preorder Tera for sure.. I am loving everything about the game from the awesome graphics and real time action combat to the sandbox political system, crafting were you can make the same item look different to the mission based gameplay. Nonthing else looks really good to me.
The last MMORPG I pre-Ordered was DnL. I ain't making that mistke again.

I dont pre order any more. I will just wait and let the games i want start for 3-4 days so there isnt so many people in the starting areas before i log in.
Guild Wars 2 for sure. It's going to change the face of MMOs. I would say SW:TOR, because I'm also a huge star wars fan, but it looks like more of the same. I need something different.
I preoder every big MMORPG that that comes out (aside from APB and STO) and I have never regreted one yet. So far everyone that I've preordered I've played (and had fun) for at least the first month which is free anyway. Most non mmo's that I buy I don't even play for a month and they can be from $40-$60.
Rift is the only game on the list I'll pre-order, just seems very interesting for me.
I'll probably pick up and try either Warhammer 40k and/or Earthrise depending on reviews and feedback. The 'big' name games hold very little interest for me, especially Guild Wars (Hated the first one) and SW:TOR. Not saying they won't be great, they just don't do it for me from what I currently know about them.
Comments
It's like these companies are purposefully training consumers to never pre-order again.

I've made it a law not to pre-order any games, but GW2 is really, REALLY tempting even though it's so early.

What is the most you have ever lost on a single coin toss?

I voted GuildWars 2
I had my money on WoW Cataclysm at GameStop but I am done with WoW.
So my reasons for GW2,
-Dynamic Quests
-World Vs World Vs World (PVP!)
-The graphics look great
-Open World
-Leveling very casual
