    What?

What else should we have?  Spaceships?  Demon Cheerleaders?  A giant chocolate fudge cake?  Aliens?

What's the point of a post like this?

Still waiting for your Holy Grail MMORPG? Interesting...

Who's going to stop the insanely powerful adventurers?

Murlocs!  They're more powerful than Sargeras, Medivh, Deathwing, Onyxia, The Lich King, and Illidan combined!

Deathwing is older than guildwars buddy lol and they have had dragons in there games when the guys that made guildwars still worked for them.

LOL all of that is correct apart from when u said that guild wars guys worked for blizzard xD.. Yeah a few of them did..but most didn't. And ppl need to stop saying WOW copied GW or GW copied WOW, both games are unique and different in every aspect of the game apart from having a character and lvling it which is a core for any RPG/MMORPG.

actually the founding members of arenanet as well as the lead designers all worked for blizzard :)

I was thinking why this trailer is so... underwhelming.

    It's because of that dragon.

He's not even remotely as epic as Arthas, Illidan or even that random dwarf from vanilla trailer.

It's... just a dragon. He looks like a dragon, doesn't have any outstanding look, got mediocre voiceover, no memorable quotes.

    Meh.

Nice cinematic btw. Too bad the graphics sucks when you actually play the game. I remember showing one of wow's cinematic to a friend of mine and right after that I logged in. He laughed  at the contrast XD

    Kil'jaeden.

    Aye,

But what I'm saying is something like expansion #1 you fight the 'ultimate evil'. You don't kill him, but instead force him to flee/imprison him/etc. Then some time later, say expansion #4 he makes his bad ass return, more pissed off and with a bigger whooping stick.

With K'J, hopefully they actually do give him a come back later... Maybe they will do a sort of Cataclysm on the outlands if he makes his return (would be cool).

Speaking just on the cinematic and not the game. This is a fair cinematic, but I thought Wrath was more adrenalin stimulating. Actually, I enjoyed the original 2004 trailer and the Burning Crusade trailer more than this one.  My favorite cinematic ever was the last one for Warhammer with the battle in the city. That was great.

  • VolkonVolkon Member UncommonPosts: 3,748

Ah, Deathwing could have merely a setback!

Nice cinematic, I always enjoy those. However, it still isn't enough to pull me back. I'm done with the incessant grind.

    Oderint, dum metuant.

Anyone that thinks there is somthing wrong the the "Graphics" of WOW CLEARLY doesn't know what it takes to make an MMO! Even with today's Internet you cannot get much higher quality models, and the textures are topnotch! Yeah I suppose things like AoC look more "realistic" but we are talking about the difference between Picasso and Michelangelo! Blizzard has a "style" that I commend them for keeping and not going all Mainstream just to please all the whiners(QQ!!??) You want to talk about what you don't like about Blizz's games that's fine but at least have some understanding of what you are talking about! This IS the best MMORPG available! Nobody Works as hard as Blizz for their customer base, their only fault i can see is trying to hard to please to many people at once. Blizz isnt just giving us expansions they are evolving a world right before our eyes!

Gotta admit that, as cool as it is, I'm a little disappointed... I was hoping they'd show more of the actual cataclysm taking place and less of Deathwing just talking. Deathwing as a character isn't particularly interesting compared to previous WoW villains; it's what he's actually done to the world that makes this expansion interesting so I was hoping the trailer might reflect that... oh well.

  • HorusraHorusra Member EpicPosts: 4,411

might not be all the trailer either...

really nice video, tho im curious about the dragon... in WOTLK was an ice dragon for the cold times...., now cataclysm is a fire dragon that brings flames and destruction... what will come next after cataclysm? a "go green" dragon  that brings peace and flourishing times?  LOL,  need some more ideas blizzard...

Deathwing isn't exactly 'just another dragon' and is a even older charactar than Arthas  as he was introduced back in Warcraft 2 and is much more fleshed out than Arthas was. He just isn't as widely known to many people who got into Warcraft starting with WoW.

He might be older in lore and when he was introduced to the warcraft world but he certainly isn't more fleshed out than Arthas.

Seems pretty fleshed out to me.

All I could imagine was a dragon voiced by Al Gore...

Seriously, "YOU ARE NOT PREPARED!" would've fit much better at the end of this trailer.

And i never said he wasn't. Just that Arthas is a more fleshed out character at this point.

So there's a dragon. I guess that's pretty innovative in terms of fantasy.

Or was the Jon Favreau chin on the dragon the big envelope pusher?
