This game must be good

Too bad I don't have enough brain juice/patience to figure it out. I was just tellin' a friend the other day that this game seemed to come outta no where. As soon as EVE offered the free trial BAM the numbers (ratingwise) went through the roof.

Is there a good website that can get a newbie started on this game? I like space stuff dammit!!! I just can't figure this thing out!!

I use these 2 sites alot:
    http://www.eve-i.com/
    http://myeve.eve-online.com/ingameboard.asp

This is the web page of the corp I belong to:
    http://oldfarts.guildportal.com

If you want to find out more about Old Farts there is a recruiting blurb on the Corp page of this forum.

Also, instead of trying to figure everything out, guess at what you would like to primarily do and figure out that part of the game. If you like to blow things up, figure out how to fly a ship effectively. If you want to be a trader, figure out the market and some trade routes, if you want to build things, figure out the R&D and manufacturing. There is a lot to learn and the stuff you don't get right away will come in time while you are doing what you want to do. Look at it more like real life where a computer geek might not know the first thing about fixing a car. It doesn't mean he can't learn it and it doesn't mean he is ineffective as a computer geek. Same in EVE, take it in small doses and give it time.
