The problem with RYL.

I am a current subscriber, and I play everyday. However, there is a major problem with it! PWG does not develope RYL, some asian company does. So, what does this mean? and why does it matter? Well because if you have a request for the game or have a certain bug that only effects you or a small portion of english players then there is a 99.99% chance that you will NEVER see it patched!

The community is great and all but the game is just too damn buggy..and having to wait months at a time to get a few bugs worked out is not worth it!

    huh... that's like saying No other game has problems with bugs just this one...

    but usually with other games the people selling you the game are the people who develope it. So you know who works on it and makes the patches.

    PWG does not, they have to go to the asian developers and ask them nicely if we can have changes that we want and it is up to them if we get them or not.

    I agree. For what it is this game is insanely overpriced. 50$ for the game and 12$ a month. You can play Wow or EQ2 for this. The Staff at PWG only job is to translate and blame players on there bugs and issues. Countless times I have been told and seen others berated by GMs and guides that its their fault. They blame the users computer or knowledge on bugs lots are suffering from. Basically use excuses so they dont have to go beg the malaysians to fix it. I think they are all kids at pwg

    Yes... that's right... kids... MY has craptacular support... so go ahead and play it. No duh it has to be translated... it's freaking ENGLISH version basically, not engRish. so go ahead and play with GIMMEH TEH STAFF LIAO!! Rather play a game I can understand and where GMs and support can be found.

    I agree that there's a serious problem. Furthermore, i found the character development tree so unbalanced in this game that it wasn't fun anymore, after about a month of playing.

    Lol, what support? North-american RYL doesn't even have a support phone # for christ's sake. And like the original poster mentioned, if there's a bug, there is no support, because PWG can't fix it.

    I paid a total of $36 for over 7 months membership to RYL.   Tried to play EQII, but it said my Geforce 4 with 128 mb ram couldn't handle it.

    Yep, there are bugs.  Guess I've been playing online computer games so long, they don't bother me.  (If you ever played an online text-based game, you'll REALLY understand). Instead, I'm more amazed with the effects when I fire my weapons and graphics quality and how far things have come.

    Constantly searching for new games--that's why I'm here at MMORPG--things are going to constantly get better, but for now, the best I've found that I can run on my computer is RYL.

    Yes he's right i dont mind the bugs as long as the game satisfy me and just like the others were all here to inquire about the games we like and look for the best game that can catch or get our attention and the much better game for us, so far like expatriate for now one of the best i've found here in MMORPG is RYL

    RYL: Path of the Emperor has 3 version when it comes to prizes, $5 version is just for the CD no books no instruction but this is until June only. Second is the $50 version this one has books and instructions and the 3rd one is $60 version this has everything plus a bonus DVD. image
