DO NOT play until RTW stops the cheaters and AFKers.

This game is becoming a joke. People talking in general chat about which hacks they use. Posts on the forums getting deleted for posting videos that hackers have made to show proof so they  will get banned. RTW has done nothing. Some warning letters were sent out.

They BAN the posts that show how many members belong to the hacking sites...People tell you to get a hack if you want to group with them. If you think it is just a few than google some sites.  These sites say things like "tell the people who acuse you that they are bad" say "U MAD BADDIE?" and My favorite Tell them " thank you for letting me know you think I am Hacking. I am just a really good player."

Once your read up on some of the hacks and how they work it is pretty basic to spot the hackers.

NO IN GAME GMs.

I have a 60%-40% K/D ratio so I am not a pro nor am I bad at the game. People are hacking and are blatent about it.  I do not think every one is but a large majority that were not have left.

AFKers run rampant, There is one I KNOW was reported by at least ten people last week. He is on AFKing right now.

Yes I am upset, this game is one of the funnest games I have ever played. But it is dying. Fast.

Please do not spend any money on this game until it is fixed, if ever. You will regret it.

RTW should give be ashamed of what they are doing.

I know I won't pay single dime to RTW till they get rid of the aimbotters. Oh and I also recommend anyone to not bother with this game in this state. Somehow RTW managed to make a game with as many aimbotters as MW 2.

I don't get it... What's the problem with the AFK'ers?

I have to agree there are a lot of changes that need to come to APB.

I was in APB since KTTC, and I will list their mistakes here.

    First Mistake.

Installing Punk Buster/Spyware on peoples computers before accepting agreement, or Consent of the user, it was an illegal move, and those of us who purchased it from Steam, never had to accept an agreement until we made an account with them.

    Second Mistake

They Used Punk Buster without telling us as buyers of the game, most gamers the users are made aware of such things and told before they actually just install them onto our computers, or it is part of the program itself, like World OF Warcraft + Warden designed fully by Blizzard, not a third party.

    Third Mistake.

They Enabled Punk Buster, OMG Bad mistake, I told them, Dont use Punk Buster, Design Your own anti cheat program, and release it, and ban the aimbotters, because it was not ready for an MMO, punk buster was designed specifically for pure FPS games, APB does not fit that, it is a MMO FPS, wasnt designed, but they enabled it, and I couldn't even play it. My Controllers got Recognized as hacking software, I was randomly Kicked from the server, the Server Lag was Terriable.

As a result, they Disabled Punk Buster, and the damage was already done, many people QUIT APB on that day, because they refused for over 72 hours to roll it back.

    Fourth Mistake.

Many of us did not get our monthly Rewards.

    Fith Mistake

They Advertised this game as A world with 100 thousand players, it is all 100% Instanced game play with no more than 80 people per instance, and Mission/Instances with no more than 10v10 combat, you cant just shoot anyone, or attack what you want, or do any crime you want...

    Sixth Mistake

There are many hackers, True, But  with all the people posting on forums, accusing people who i know myself do not hack, I have reported such posts as offensive to youtube, and will be getting videos removed of such without any type of proof at all of the hacks, Unlike Second Life, which I can prove a person Copybotting, because of the Unique methods and in world data, APB uses those same type of asset systems with their clothing, but if you cannot see their screen, you cannot prove Aimbotting. Also posting of public hacks just brings more cheaters, and hackers into APB, and that is why they do not want people posting such there, because if you are wrong, you have slandered a person for no reason, unless you are 100% sure that person is aimbotting, I would not do it, as it can get your APB account banned, or a warning and such.

    Seventh Mistake

    Free Wall Hacks For Everyone!!

This game has no Skill, Enforcers on APB missions, can see 100% Exactly where the crims are, toss in grenades instant kills, but you cannot see them on the other hand, how is that fair?

I can understand if everyone could see on the walls where people were in death match, but giving Enforcers the upper hand in it all, I find it insane.

APB Getting any better? I honestly Doubt that, I had a feeling APB was going to be 100% the game for me, but all the hacks, and mistakes this company has made by using Broken Punk Buster which doesn't help worth shit, I dont want Third Parties Accessing My Computer without my consent, and I dount other users want that as well.

Also on another Note I would like to mention

In the APB Agreement it says that they only monitor your Computer for hacks while a game is running,  I found that to be false. Punk Buster uses Windows Services to run when the game starts it loads up, However when I closed APB, and waited 5 minutes I discovered Punk Buster to still be running in the back ground, spying on my computer, I immediately disabled Punk Buster from ever loading again without asking consent each time.

Missions usually involve two enemy teams of up to 4 players each fighting over objectives. Unless you are fortunate enough to have a full group of people you know every time you play, you'll end up on automatically assembled teams. This is kind of a neat idea in theory, presuming everyone on your team is interested in playing and winning the mission.

In the best of cases, you'll have a fun and reasonably balanced challenge on your hands with your team vs. theirs in an ongoing battle that can take 15 to 20 minutes or more. More commonly, it won't be balanced, but there is still a challenge and a chance you could emerge victorious. In any of these cases, a difference of one person can change the game from fun and exciting to infuriating and hopeless.

AFKers will cause that difference. An AFKer intentionally autoteams with you with the full intention of doing absolutely nothing to help. Instead of having someone you can rely on, you get someone that cowers from battle or isn't even at the keyboard. They get paid for losing, and your time and enjoyment is ruined.

I have a month sub so I'm not quiting until my sub runs out.  And even still I am having fun so I will probably renew next week.  I'm in a really good clan and whether we win or lose we generally have fun.  The hackers do try their best to spoil the fun though.

Basically all a hacker has to do is run around.  Hacks do the rest.  No skill whatsoever.  And let me tell you, they are not fooling anyone either, except maybe RTW.  The community has a pretty good idea who the hackers are, and we try to avoid as best we can.

I am hoping RTW gets their act together and gets some kind of anticheat going.  There should be zero tolerance for cheaters.

So in other words, never play the game. Because RTW won't be removing the hackers any time soon. Hell, the hackers seem to have more coding/programming experience than RTW.

Monthlys are being fixed on tuedays patch. Do not mislead that they just were not "given" to us as they are never coming. They are.

The game world was never advertised as 100 thousand player world, think about that with the customization APB offers, it would be impossible loading all those textures.  It was a 100 max  in each instance from the beginning and only dropped to 80 because of client lag. Also there is talk about raising the cap back up to 100.

This game was fun at release, but yeah its gone downhill ever since..

I still play it everynight in hopes I get  the same enjoyment out of it that I used to,but now its few and far between due to the problems stated in above posts.

afk bots who group up with u only to do nothing

Car farmers who join your group only to farm cars and give no contribution to the mission.

    hackers are rampant.

weapons are way unbalanced(although will supposedly be fixed this tuesday)

    matchmaking is horrid.

    wall hacks for forcers.

the list can just go on and on and players are dropping like flies because of it all.

They've had what, 5 years to try to balance the weapons. Don't hold your breath.

I really enjoy this game, but yes...the cheating is a bit of an issue at the moment.  When punkbuster went live, I was shocked that the in game population seemed very low compared to what it usually is.  I also noticed more players seemed to be less accurate and have room for error.  About a day and half after punkbuster went live, the game population seemed back to normal and everyone is crying haks again.  Not everyone hacks....some players are just really good.  But there is also some players that never miss.....and can hook shot a grenade in your pocket from two buildings distance from you....it kinda makes you keep a sharp eye for who is legit.

All in all....when you combine the slippery slope of who is cheating/who is actually playing..........and of course with RTW's passive aggressive stance to hackers.......is it worth buying and a monthly fee? (If you make enough ingame $$ there are ways to buy game time instead of paying the monthly fee)......Oh yeah.....the overall community is a bit of a flame war there too.....overly sensitive and aggressive.....Not all are full of nerd rage...but...when I compare it to the other gaming communities I have come across.....its less than stellar.

The game itself is fun as hell.  The community/hacking problems seem to have slowly made the game less fun.  And for me...having fun is what its all about!

yeah,Im pretty much right there with you..

I keep playing because I love the game and want to enjoy it,but there are just so many things that drag it down.

    it stinks.

The game was fun for a few days. Then it became not-fun. It is garbage. The only thing that is exceptional would have to be the character customization and unlockable wardrobe pieces, the best customization and appearance system of any game I have ever played. The rest is pure garbage. Just my opinion.

It would actually be a bit better for me if the community was not such pure trash. FPS/pvp oriented mmos and games attract the loser community with ego problems, i'm not saying all people that play these games are like that, just a massive amount of them.

Seems the people cheating in this game to try and do well are going to be the death of it.  I hope they will be satisfied when it's closed down due to lack of funds from subscriptions :)

GTA4 multiplayer on PC also died because of rampant cheating.

I'm really unhappy with the game is now and honestly the only fun I do have is griefing the shit out people that are blantantly hacking or exploiting. I'm glad I played when it did when it wasn't so plagued by it.
