MMOGchart.com

I just found out about thus site from the April issue of Pc Gamer, and I must say that I am mad I didn't find out this before. This site follows all the users of every mmorpg that was birthed since February 05. The Lineage series you might say sucks and should be removed but check this site it has them at 25.6 and its predecessor Lineage 2 and 25.3 %. World or Warcraft I was surprised it just came out and it already is at 15.3%. As for older games like EverQuest which has 3.8% and Ultima Online with 2%.

For all the rest of them go to www.MMOGChart.com and see how your hype stacks up with the raw proof. You will be quite surprised.image

    Hi! Welcome to the Internet!

    No shit, EvilC.

    -----------------------------
Listen Asmodeeus, seven years ago, Ultima Online didn't even have those pathetic "quests" that you refer to or those "professions" of ninja, samurai, necromancer, and paladin. Nor did it have any of the neon crap, or bug mounts. It didn't even have any "combat moves." You turned on attack and jousted with simplistic swings. It was a better game then. if you can't guess why then just uninstall the thing and move along. - Crabby

Yeah it puts everything in some sort of perspective.

Certainly explains why everything seems to come down to arguments between EQ2 and WoW people.

Also WTF is up with Lineage II, I mean how are there so many people with such short attention spans that they can even play this game let alone play it for months image

Ok I know it sounds unkind etc... but geez the game is like... so 18 months ago.... its got nothing

     - PC Bangs

     - 50% of Koreans live in the capital city Soeul.

     - PC Bangs

     - Korea leads the world in having cheap internet access for the masses.

     - PC Bangs

     - The Korean goverment has an atitude of being anti and non Korean, non Asian company. Giving them a much harder time to do legitimate buisness in Korea. Simular to how Japanese rice farmers sell their rice in a near vacume market. Does it mean Japanese rice farmers are super successful? Lineage 1 and Lineage 2 exist in a near vacume market.

     - Non Korean and non Asian companies also do NOT even attempt, not even think about, the Korean market, or Asian market.

     - PC Bangs. "PC Bang" is the English translation of the Korean word for their 24 hour/7 day a week internet cafes. These are BIG buildings many having 500,  800,  1,000  and even 5,000 computers in just 1 building. There's more... anyone without a computer can get on line play any game. Hundreds of games are pre-loaded, pre-saved. There's more.... many PC Bangs buy just 1 copy of a game, then use  *ahem* nefarious methods to allow hundreds of players to play even though the PC Bang does not buy hundreds of copies of the game. The best hackers, crackers, scripters, can eve make their own CD-game keys ... and they work!

     - Korean culture. It is far more group mentality oriented. To the point it is almost scary! LOL! They seem to litterally act like robots. Many times a non-Asian or non-Korean who studies them can predict exactly how they will act, what they will do, etc... Only Korea has real life murders happen in relation to MMORPGs. Has real life fights, knifings, beatings, threats, in relation to gamers and MMORPGs. They even have people dying from playing too long without eating or sleeping. There is even gang involvement too.
