What language is it written in? Anyone who can write a game can create a decent domain too.

Give the guy a break. He's obviously excited for what he's done and would just like a couple people to try his game. Btw, a domain is just the alphabetic names used to point computers to .com, .net, etc addresses. So technically, he can't create a "decent" domain. But he could work on his web page skills.

I'd like to see more people like this sticking up for others. It's too often I see other users picking on someone else when they have done something.

i must defend myself, it seems.

Don't announce that your game is the "Best Player-Made MMORPG Ever!!' unless you can back it up and judging by much of the content via FAQs and game information, it does not seem so.

This game has also been spammed in the chatroom by a few users. The users were probably posting the link every 10 seconds. That, was annoying. This game also has been posted in the forums many times with other criticizing remarks. Don't point the finger at me since I have experienced many parts of the actual game enough to make an opinion.

Is it just me, or would you expect something that claims to have no trojans, viruses or adware, or spyware to have all of the above? Oh wait, but it's guaranteed.

The guy is excited about his game. I haven't seen any other player written MMORPG's so I'd say his claim is probably somewhat safe, at least for now.

Also:
Something to remember: The ability to write in one language does not mean that you can write HTML, Javascript, CGI, PERL or ASP. Web Development and Game Coding ability do not always go hand in hand. Games that have fantastic websites usually have a person (actually usually a small staff of people) that are dedicated to development and maintenance of the website. The GAME coders rarely have anything to do with the website.

Now, I'll be the first to say that the game isn't very impressive. But dissing the guy because he's excited about the game is just silly.

Hmm. I havent downloaded it yet, but I congratulate him on making a game. It is very hard to do something like that, and it seems all he gets is a bunch of remarks on his webhosting.

Thank you! And I would like some people to try out my game....I don't see why you care about a freewebs page? If all people where like you the world would be a great place.

Another reason why I don't mind seeing this person posting is because advertising is very expensive. Not all of us have found the tree that grows money yet! I'm not quite sure, but possibly the MMORPG staff could create a new category in the forums for people to advertise for there game. I see this as a reasonable forum category.

While I dont mind your freewebs hosting, it does look unprofessional to have a freewebs hosting for a videogame. I would suggest getting a .com or .net with a nice layout, screenshots etc... Sure, it doesnt effect how the fun the game is, but people would feel more inclined to download a game coming from a professionally made website.
