Shortly before the German developer (Crytek Studios) brought down the community page they posted:
"Looking to get your hands on Crysis 2 early? Now is your chance! Early registrations will be tracked, and our first wave of users will have a chance to win a key as and when the Crysis 2 beta takes place. All you need to do is sign up early and one day in the near future you may be receiving a mail with an invite to the game."

EA/Steam this week (14-21 June) is offering a 50% off Crysis promotion.
Think these are the 5 machine activation limit through SecuROM software versions, but getting the May 2009 maximum edition (Crysis + Warhead) a $50 value for about $20 seems a decent deal to me... provided one has the system to play these as Crysis is often used as a benchmark for gpu reviews.

Crysis 2 will use the CryEngine3 development engine.
