Looking for a particular type of game...

So, first off I am looking for a game preferably with the martial arts/kung fu type of fighting.
Second I would like some type of game that has a bit of customization. Some I looked at appeared to have the same exact equipment for everyone of that particular class every so many levels...so, at each upgrade point everyone goes and gets and wears the same exact thing.
Last, would be a great community. I'm one of those that is willing to pay a monthly fee to play and if I really like the F2P game I have purchased from item malls before. Typically, the thing that tips the scales from average to awesome is having people conversing the whole time and myself chiming in when I can.

p.s. I know a lot of F2P games have it now but I do enjoy the occasional pet combat buddy as I do also love character classes in games that are all about pets.

You could try an asian MMORPG (Which will be grindy, F2P and with a not so nice community) or you could play DDO and buy the monk class who battles using martial arts. Good community and lots of content.
any names of other games...its been a while so I'll give DDO another try but like to see what other games have my criteria
Maybe CO or CoH with the martial arts class? It´s just that as i said before i know no asian mmorpg, with martial arts, fun and with a good community.
EQ, EQ2, and Vanguard has a Monk class which is kind of oriental looking . .. lol that's about as close as I have seen.

- Monk which is pretty kungfu, your basic melee fighter/scout hybrid.
- Disciple a sort of a monk that heals (pretty short said but fits the description)
